Abstract: The carbon dioxide recovery system (1) comprises an electrolytic reduction device (2) that generates a producer gas by reducing carbon dioxide, and a carbon dioxide separation device (3) that separates the carbon dioxide from the processed gas. The carbon dioxide separation device is provided with a first gas diffusion electrode (51), a second gas diffusion electrode (52), a liquid chamber (53) formed between the first gas diffusion electrode and the second gas diffusion electrode (52), and is configured to be supplied with an electrolytic liquid containing a compound that adsorbs and desorbs protons in an oxidation-reduction reaction, a first chamber (54) separated from the liquid chamber by the first gas diffusion electrode and configured to be supplied with the producer gas, and a second chamber (55) separated from the liquid chamber by the second gas diffusion electrode and through which the carbon dioxide separated from the producer gas flow. The electrolytic reduction device uses the carbon dioxide separated from the processed gas in the carbon dioxide separation device as a part of an input material thereof.

[Solution] A manufacturing method of butadiene includes an electrolytic reduction process 2 that produces ethylene and oxygen from carbon dioxide and water as a raw material by electrolytic reduction, a butene producing process 3 that produces butene by dimerizing the ethylene produced in the electrolytic reduction process, a mixing process 4 that prepares a mixed gas by mixing the oxygen produced in the electrolytic reduction process, the butene produced in the butene producing process, and air, and a butadiene producing process 5 that produces butadiene by heating the mixed gas and oxidatively dehydrogenating the butene, wherein carbon dioxide by-produced in the butadiene producing process is used as a portion of the raw material in the electrolytic reduction process.-

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a cathode electrode in which selectivity of hydrogen decreases and selectivity of a carbon dioxide reduction product increases in a catalytic reaction producing carbon monoxide, an olefinic hydrocarbon such as ethylene, and an alcohol such as ethanol by a reduction reaction of carbon dioxide. A cathode electrode that electrically reduces carbon dioxide, including: a first layer containing cuprous oxide, copper, and at least one additional metal element selected from the group consisting of silver, gold, zinc, cadmium, and tin; and a second layer formed on the first layer and containing a constituent element composed of at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of copper, silver, gold, zinc, cadmium, and tin.

Abstract: A synthesis gas production system for producing CO and H2 by electrolyzing an aqueous solution containing CO2 includes: an electrolysis device including an anode chamber and a cathode chamber separated by a separator membrane; a cathode-side circulation line connected to the cathode chamber to circulate a cathode solution containing CO2; a catalyst supply device provided in the cathode-side circulation line to supply a CO production catalyst to the cathode solution; and a gas composition detection device configured to measure a ratio between CO and H2 in a production gas produced in the cathode chamber. At least one of control of a supply amount of the CO production catalyst by the catalyst supply device and control of a voltage applied between the anode and the cathode by the electrolysis device is performed to make a ratio of H2 to CO in the production gas be within a predetermined target range.
