    Abstract: A toothbrush includes a handle and a head mounted to the handle. In one aspect, the head may include a base structure having a front surface. A cleaning element carrier may be at least partially suspended above the front surface of the base structure so that at least a portion of the cleaning element carrier is movable relative to the base structure in a direction towards the front surface of the base structure. The cleaning element carrier may have a first segment and a second segment that are separated by a gap. A plurality of bristle tufts may extend from the first and second segments of the cleaning element carrier. A central cleaning element may extend from the front surface of the base structure and through the gap between the first and second segments of the cleaning element carrier.

    Abstract: In some embodiments an oral care implement herein may be embodied as a toothbrush having a head disposed at a distal end of a handle. The head may include a fixed bristle support and at least two movable bristle supports, movable relative to the fixed bristle support and relative to each other. An actuator is disposed to actuate the movable bristle supports between a brushing position in which bristles on the fixed bristle support and the movable bristle supports are substantially parallel and an interdental cleaning position in which the movable bristle supports are moved relative to each other such that the bristles on the movable bristle supports are angled toward each other. In the interdental cleaning position, the bristles may form a point or similar bristle tip, which may be useful for interdental cleaning.

    Abstract: An oral care implement that includes a conical tuft of bristles. In one embodiment, the invention is an oral care implement that includes a handle and a head coupled to the handle, the head having a front surface. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements extend from the front surface of the head. The plurality of tooth cleaning elements include a conical tuft that has a bristle wall having an inner surface defining a cavity, the cavity having a transverse cross-sectional area that increases with distance from the front surface of the head. Furthermore, in some embodiments the bristle wall terminates in an annular top surface that is inclined relative to the front surface of the head. In some embodiments, the head includes more than one of the conical tufts, such as two of the conical tufts or four of the conical tufts.
