Abstract: A stent-graft comprises: a graft defining an elongate lumen having a longitudinal axis; an external stent having a plurality of struts and apices between the struts, the apices including proximal apices and distal apices; a set of proximal sutured knots, the proximal sutured knots securing the proximal apices of the stent to the graft; a set of distal sutured knots, the distal sutured knots securing the distal apices of the stent to the graft; and a plurality of intermediate sutured knots, formed along a continuous suture, the continuous suture including a plurality of bridging portions, the bridging portions bridging between neighbouring struts of the stent, the intermediate sutured knots securing struts of the stent to the graft.

Abstract: Prostheses and methods of making the same are provided. The prosthesis has an internal branch configuration. A trough or branch opening is at least partially defined by a trough wall extending into a main lumen from a sidewall of the prosthesis. The internal branch extends from the trough within the main lumen towards one of the outflow end of the graft body in a helical, retrograde arrangement. Other arrangements are described. The prosthesis may include a scalloped fenestration having a width larger than the trough. The trough may be positioned along a tapered region of the prosthesis. The trough and internal branch may be made from the same graft material. The trough and internal branch, in addition to the main graft body, may be made from the same graft material.

Abstract: A temporary diameter reduction constraint arrangement for a stent graft is disclosed. The arrangement comprises: primary and secondary release wires extending along the graft; a plurality of loops of thread, each loop engaged with either the primary or secondary wire and engaged around a portion of the graft circumferentially spaced away from its release wire, and drawn tight to reduce the diameter of the graft; an end constraint arrangement comprising four of the plurality of loops of thread arranged into a first and second pairs engaged with respective primary and secondary wires; and an intermediate constraint arrangement comprising a fifth and sixth of the plurality of loops of thread arranged into a third pair, the third pair engaged with the primary release wire, the primary release wire deviating towards the secondary release wire so as to locate the intermediate constraint arrangement substantially in-line with the end constraint arrangement.

Abstract: A stent graft having an internal bidirectional branch formed from a tubular segment of graft material. The internal bidirectional branch extends within the lumen of the stent graft and proximally and distally from a lateral opening in the sidewall of the stent graft. The tubular segment from which the stent graft is made is partitioned into first and second sections along a length of the tubular segment to form the internal bidirectional branch. The lateral opening has a length and a width that may be greater than the diameter of the internal bidirectional branch and may be in the shape of a quadrilateral. The internal bidirectional branch and the stent graft are formed from a single piece of graft material.

Abstract: A constraint arrangement for a stent-graft loaded onto a delivery device. The stent-graft has a graft body defining an elongate lumen and a positionable region. At least one apposition release wire releasably secures the graft body to the guide wire cannula along a length of the guide wire cannula. A suture is sewn circumferentially through and around the graft body, such that a plurality of internal suture portions are formed. A constraint loop is formed from a first of the internal suture portions. A plurality of reducing loops are formed from others of the internal suture portions. At least one apposition release wire passes through the constraint loop and each of the plurality of reducing loops, and upon retraction of the apposition release wire releases the constraint loop and each of the reducing loops and, thereby allowing the stent-graft to expand and to release from the guide wire cannula.
