    Abstract: A filter assembly comprising a housing with a first coupling member formed in a housing first end of the housing. The filter assembly further comprises a filter head with a first thread formed on a surface thereof. The filter assembly further comprises an adapter. The adapter includes a first adapter end, a second adapter end, and an annular portion. The annular portion is disposed between the first adapter end and the second adapter end. A first axial wall extends from the annular portion axially towards the first adapter end. The first axial wall includes a third coupling member configured to engage the second coupling member on the filter head. A second axial wall extends from the annular portion axially towards the second adapter end. The second axial wall includes a fourth coupling member configured to engage a first coupling member on the housing.

    Abstract: A no filter no filter no run attachment is disclosed. A shell defines a fluid passage from an upstream fluid aperture at a first end for fluid receiving communication with a filtration cartridge to a downstream fluid aperture at a corresponding second end sized and shaped for coupling to a fluid pump inlet. The shell further defines a pin aperture at the first end sized to receive a pin from the filtration cartridge. A divider segments the fluid passage into an upstream portion that comprises the upstream fluid aperture and the pin aperture and a downstream portion that comprises the downstream fluid aperture. The divider also defines an internal aperture that allows fluid communication between the upstream portion and the downstream portion. A ball is disposed in the upstream portion in fluid flow receiving communication with the upstream fluid aperture, and is sized to have a greater diameter than the internal aperture.

    Abstract: A fluid filter device is described, where a flow attachment member provides a unique interface between the filtering element and a filter head. The fluid filter described herein generally provides a flow structure that is localized and sealed. The flow attachment member is configured to communicate fluid into and out of the fluid filter, and is configured to localize fluid flow both into and out of the fluid filter within a separating structure of the flow attachment member.     Abstract: A filter assembly includes a drain port comprising a top portion and at least one surface modification along the top portion. The drain port defines an aperture therein and is alignable with an outlet port. The outlet port includes a seal member that is attachable to an end portion of the outlet port. A portion of the aperture of the drain port is sealable to the seal member when the drain port and the outlet port are aligned such that the at least one surface modification of the drain port does not abut the seal member of the outlet port, thereby creating a sealed connection between the drain port and the outlet port.

    Abstract: A liquid filtration system includes a filter head, a shell housing, and a filter cartridge. The filter head includes a skirt having a ramp disposed at a first end of the skirt. The shell housing is coupled to the filter head. The filter cartridge is disposed within the shell housing. The filter cartridge includes a filter media pack and an endcap coupled to a first end of the filter media pack. The endcap includes an interface member extending from an upper surface of the endcap. The interface member includes a sealing member that is at least partially tilted at an oblique angle relative to a central axis of the endcap. The sealing member is sealingly engaged with the skirt.
