摘要: Techniques for positioning and setting a barrier within a well string are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes securing a barrier device at a lubricator extension of a lubricator assembly and positioning the lubricator assembly at a wellhead assembly having a wellhead from which a well string is suspended. The method also includes advancing the lubricator extension to advance the barrier device into the well string. The barrier device may be set within the well string to block flow. Additional methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.

摘要: Fracturing systems with frac valves for controlling flow of fracturing fluid are provided. In one embodiment, a fracturing apparatus includes a frac valve having a housing with a bore to convey fracturing fluid, a seal disposed within the bore, and an actuator coupled to control movement of the seal. The actuator can be disposed within the bore so as to move the seal between a closed position in which the seal blocks fracturing fluid flow through the bore and an open position that allows fracturing fluid flow through the bore. Additional systems, devices, and methods for fracturing are also disclosed.

摘要: A technique facilitates performance of well operations. According to an embodiment, the technique employs a modular assembly configured for coupling with a wellhead assembly. The modular assembly may have a production subassembly and a fracturing subassembly. By way of example, the production subassembly may comprise a connection block positioned for coupling to the wellhead assembly, a production outlet fluidly connected to the connection block, and a valve between the connection block and the production outlet. Additionally, the fracturing subassembly may be releasably coupled to the production subassembly. According to an embodiment, the fracturing subassembly comprises an inlet for receiving fracturing fluids, an outlet coupled to the connection block, and a bore between the inlet and the outlet for communicating a fracturing fluid to a well.

摘要: A technique enables maintenance of sufficient clearance between a wellhead and, for example, a mobile rig. The technique facilitates support of a cable, e.g. an antenna suspension cable, at the wellhead without detrimentally affecting the desired clearance. According to an embodiment, a flange system is used in combination with a cable clamp assembly at a wellhead. The flange system may comprise a flange having a connector portion configured for coupling with the wellhead. The flange also comprises a cylinder portion coupled to the connector portion such that the cylinder portion extends into a corresponding bore of the wellhead. The cable clamp assembly is configured to clamp around and support a cable extending down through the wellhead. The cable clamp assembly is supported within the cylinder portion of the flange such that the cable clamp assembly is at least partially disposed within the wellhead.

摘要: A wellhead assembly with an external test port for testing a primary seal at an interface of a wellhead and a base. The assembly includes unique architecture with a secondary seal provided adjacent the primary. In this manner, testing of the primary seal from an external location may proceed without concern over a false indication of primary seal failure. That is, for circumstances where a more interior side of the seal fails under pressure testing even though an outer face of the seal might remain in sealing engagement, the secondary seal would ensure that the outer sealing engagement is detected. As a result, a practical manner of testing the wellhead seal from an external location without the need of plugging the wellbore is provided.
