摘要: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for cryptographic authentication to control access to storage devices. An applet executing on a processor of a contactless card may receive, via a wireless communications interface of the contactless card, a request to access a storage device of the contactless card, where the storage device is in a locked state. The applet may generate a cryptogram based on the request and transmit the cryptogram to a computing device via the wireless communications interface. The applet may receive, from the computing device, an indication specifying that a server decrypted the cryptogram. The applet may transmit, to a controller of the storage device and based on the indication specifying that the server decrypted the cryptogram, an indication specifying to unlock the storage device. The controller may transition the storage device from the locked state to an unlocked state based on the indication received from the applet.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments relate to updatable displays for transaction cards, such as credit cards or event passes. The displays may be, for instance, an electrophoretic or memory liquid crystal diode display. The transaction card may include a contact pad capable of engaging in wireless communication. Information may be exchanged between the transaction card and a mobile device or terminal, where a processor on the mobile device processes the received information to generate displayable information. The processor updates the display with the displayable information. The contact pad may be electrically connected to the display, and the display may derive electrical power to perform the updating from the wireless communication. For example, where the wireless communication is a near field communication (NFC), a radio frequency field may be generated that supplies enough power to run the processor and at least partially update the display.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for providing an estimated utility expenditure to a user may include: obtaining, via one or more processors, historical transactional data of one or more customers other than the user from one or more transactional entities, wherein the historical transactional data includes: at least one address of a given customer of the one or more customers; and a historical utility expenditure associated with the at least one address; generating, via the one or more processors, a heatmap based on the historical transactional data of the one or more customers via one or more algorithms, wherein the heatmap is indicative of at least the estimated utility expenditure associated with the at least one address during a predetermined period; and causing a display of a user device associated with the user to demonstrate the heatmap.

摘要: Provided are transaction cards with a reduced weight core. In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having a first outer layer opposite a second outer layer, and a corrugated core between the first outer layer and the second outer layer, wherein the corrugated core comprises a plurality of alternating peaks and valleys coupled to the first outer layer and the second outer layer. The transaction card may further include an identification chip positioned through the first outer layer, wherein the identification chip is directly coupled to the corrugated core.

摘要: A device may configure a browser to permit cash payments for online transactions. The device may monitor a browser session of the browser. The device may detect, during the browser session, navigation of the browser to a transaction page of a website. The transaction page may be configured to facilitate an online transaction with the website. The device may determine, based on detecting the navigation of the browser to the transaction page, that a cash payment is to be provided. The device may cause a validation code to be generated. The device may cause, based on the validation code being processed, a virtual transaction card to be generated. The device may facilitate, using virtual card information associated with the virtual transaction card, execution of the online transaction.

摘要: Provided are approaches for customizing transaction cards using a replaceable insert. In some approaches, the transaction card may include a body comprising a first main side opposite a second main side, a first end opposite a second end, and a first side opposite a second side, wherein a chip is coupled to the first main side of the body. An insert may be positioned within a recess along the first main side, wherein a first magnetic material of the recess and a second magnetic material of the insert are positioned proximate one another to increase retention between the insert and the body.
