摘要： A method of applying a decorative color to a thermoplastic strip suited for use to produce slats for blinds is characterized by the use of a heat sensitive printing paper of the type normally used to color the fabric material from which valances are generally made. By using that type of color transferring medium to color the thermoplastic slats it becomes possible, for instance, to manufacture blind slats having the same color as the fabric valance to be hung decoratively from the window for which the blind is to be installed. There is also disclosed a blind structure for attenuating the flapping noise produced when the slats enter in contact with each other.

摘要： A method and a system for producing a window shade having a real natural material printed image coated thereon. A real natural material is scanned and the data of the image is stored in a computer which generates an image of the scanned real natural material. That image is duplicated a plurality of times by the use of the computer and the images are assembled in a predetermined arrangement to produce a composite image which is then enhanced using photo-enhancing software. The enhanced composite image is then printed by the use of a colored ink printing machine on material to form the window shade. Preferably, but not exclusively, the material is constituted by slats of a louvered blind or a fabric of a roller blind.

摘要： An extruded wood imitation component and process is described. The component has a solid core containing coloured polymer material formed from a mix of coloured thermoplastic polymer with veins of contrasting coloured polymer throughout the core and on outer surfaces of the component simulating natural wood. In the extrusion process the mixture includes coloured polymer pellets of different colours and sizes which are mixed and melted in an extruder under controlled conditions to provide contrasting streaks of molten polymer throughout a molten extruded core and on outer surfaces of the core of the extrudate which exits the land of the die.
