Abstract: A wear plate assembly for a ground engaging system. The wear plate assembly includes a wear plate, a connection plate, and a lock cavity. The wear plate has a back surface and a front surface spaced from the back surface along a first direction. The connection plate extends from the front surface at least partially in the first direction. The connection plate has an inner surface and an outer surface spaced from the inner surface along a second direction. The lock cavity is formed by the connection plate. The lock cavity extends from a first opening that opens to the inner surface to a second opening that opens to the outer surface. The first opening has a first diameter and the second opening has a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter.

Abstract: A fork assembly for a lifting machine is provided. The fork assembly includes a fork base and a tine member. A first end of the fork base is attachable to the movable frame portion. A second end of the fork base extends outwardly from the first end. The fork base defines a lift surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The tine member defines a top portion, a first side portion, a second side portion, and a bottom portion. The bottom portion of the tine member defines a recess with a first engagement wall, a second engagement wall, and a third engagement wall. The tine member attains an interlocked position with the fork base, when the fork base is disposed within the recess of the tine member.

The bucket assembly includes a bucket core having a pair of side sections, a continuous wrapper, a supporting element, and a receptacle; and an extension module having a pair of side bars, a guard module, an edge module, and, optionally, a set of extension plates. The bucket assembly may include universal and customizable components without exhibiting reduction to fatigue life commonly associated with weld seams.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a bucket by casting includes determining a volumetric capacity of the bucket. A modular mold assembly is configured by selecting a cope box and a drag box from multiple cope boxes and drag boxes based on the volumetric capacity of the bucket. Further, a first core is selected from multiple first cores based on the volumetric capacity of the bucket. The cope box, the first core, a second core, and the drag box are assembled such that the cope box, the first core, the second core, and the drag box together define a bucket-shaped mold cavity. A volume of the mold cavity depends on the selection of the cope box, the first core, and the drag box. A molten material is poured in the mold cavity and the cast bucket is removed after solidification of the molten material from the modular mold assembly.
