摘要: A OLED display and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The OLED display includes: an OLED display panel including: data lines to which data voltages are supplied; gate lines to which a gate voltage is sequentially supplied; luminescence control lines to which a luminescence control voltage is sequentially supplied, a driving power line to which a driving voltage is supplied; a compensation power line to which a compensation voltage having a first level and a second level different from the first level are supplied; a plurality of pixel cells each respectively in pixel areas defined by the data lines and the gate lines; a data driver having output lines whose number is smaller than the number of the data lines; and a demultiplexer unit formed between the data driver and the OLED display panel, the demultiplexer unit supplying the data voltages from the output lines to the data lines, wherein each of the pixel cells includes: a light emitting element; and a pixel driver that supplies a current corresponding to a corresponding one of the data voltages to the light emitting element based on the corresponding data voltage, the gate voltage, the luminescence control voltage, the driving voltage and the compensation voltage having the first level and that turns off the light emitting element when the compensation voltage has the second level.

摘要: A OLED display and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The OLED display includes: an OLED display panel including: data lines to which data voltages are supplied; gate lines to which a gate voltage is sequentially supplied; luminescence control lines to which a luminescence control voltage is sequentially supplied, a driving power line to which a driving voltage is supplied; a compensation power line to which a compensation voltage having a first level and a second level different from the first level are supplied; a plurality of pixel cells each respectively in pixel areas defined by the data lines and the gate lines; a data driver having output lines whose number is smaller than the number of the data lines; and a demultiplexer unit formed between the data driver and the OLED display panel, the demultiplexer unit supplying the data voltages from the output lines to the data lines, wherein each of the pixel cells includes: a light emitting element; and a pixel driver that supplies a current corresponding to a corresponding one of the data voltages to the light emitting element based on the corresponding data voltage, the gate voltage, the luminescence control voltage, the driving voltage and the compensation voltage having the first level and that turns off the light emitting element when the compensation voltage has the second level.

摘要: An electro-luminescence display device and a method of driving the same for controlling a full white brightness depending upon a brightness of the external environment and thus controlling a brightness mode is disclosed. An electro-luminescence display device according to the present invention comprising: a display panel having pixels light-emitted by a supplied current; a data driver for applying a data voltage corresponding to said current to the pixels; and a timing controller for dividing one frame into a plurality of sub-frames and applying said data voltage corresponding to each of the plurality of sub-frames to the data driver and for controlling an emission time of each frame.

摘要: An organic electroluminescence display has data, gate, and signal lines arranged on a substrate. Pixel regions are defined by the gate and signal lines. Switching elements provided in the pixel regions are electrically connected to the signal lines and the gate lines. Switching blocks open and close an electrical connection between the signal lines and the pixels. A driving unit drives the switching elements by supplying scanning signals to the gate lines. The driving unit also supplies a first control signal before the scanning signals are supplied and a second control signal when the scanning signals are supplied. The second control signal makes the switching blocks sequentially conductive, during which time image signals are supplied to the data lines. The first control signal permits the signal lines to be set at a predetermined voltage.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a light emitting display device which can reduce hysteresis of a driving transistor to improve picture quality, and a method for driving the same. The device includes a pixel cell formed in an area defined by a data line supplied with a data voltage, at least one scan line supplied with a scan signal, a light emission control signal line supplied with a light emission control signal, a driving voltage line supplied with a driving voltage, and a compensation voltage line supplied with a compensation voltage of a first voltage level or a second voltage level different from the first voltage level. The pixel cell includes a light emitting element for emitting light by current, and a pixel circuit for providing current corresponding to the data voltage to the light emitting element using the data voltage, scan signal, light emission control signal, driving voltage and compensation voltage.

摘要: An electro-luminescence display panel and a driving method thereof for preventing a life shortening of the EL caused by a direct current are disclosed. In the electro-luminescence display panel implementing a gray level by a combination of light-emitting periods of sub-frames corresponding to each bit of video data, each of pixels includes an electro-luminescence (EL) cell, and a cell driver for allowing a forward current to be flown into the EL cell in accordance with a supplied data signal in a light-emitting period of the sub-frame while allowing a backward bias to be applied to the EL cell in a non-light-emitting period of the sub-frame.
