Abstract: A container assembly for a motor vehicle passenger compartment includes a housing, a door, an arm, a helical spring and a cam. The door is pivotally coupled to the housing for movement about a first pivot between a closed position wherein the door covers an opening in the housing and an open position wherein the door is pivoted about the first pivot to allow access through the opening to a storage space in the housing. The arm is pivotally coupled to the housing for movement about a second pivot. The arm has a cam surface. The helical spring continuously biases the arm toward the first pivot. The cam is coupled to the door and movable with the door about the first pivot between the closed position and the open position. The cam has a center portion and a lobe extending outwardly from the center portion. The lobe remains in contact with the cam surface of the arm. The cam surface applies a torque on one side of the lobe to bias the door toward the closed position and on an opposite side of the lobe to bias the door toward the open position.

Abstract: A center console for an automotive vehicle having a power outlet device, a wall and a bezel. The wall has a pair of channels that are spaced apart. The bezel has spaced apart and opposite sides. The sides of the bezel extend into the respective channels in the wall to constrain the bezel in a direction generally orthogonal to the bezel. The bezel also includes a retaining member that extends outwardly from an edge thereof. Abstract: The present invention provides a storage bin assembly that is disposable in an opening formed in a vehicle dashboard. The assembly includes a bin portion having a pivotable door that selectably allows access to an interior storage area. A lid is disposed on the bin portion and includes front and rear edges.
