摘要: The present invention discloses a method of thermally developing color on a polyamide textile material. The material is first contacted with an aminobenzenesulfonyl azide and then is heated at a temperature ranging from 80.degree. C. to the melting point of the polyamide material for an amount of time sufficient to develop a color thereon.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method of photolytically developing a walnut wood color on a wood sample. The sample is contacted with a salt of an aminobenzenesulfonyl azide. The sample is thereafter exposed to a light source for an amount of time sufficient to produce a walnut wood color thereon.

摘要: A composition is described which is prepared so that it has a low electrical resistivity so that it can be used in electrostatic discharge operations. The composition includes carbon-coated fibers. The fiber is characterized in that it is a Lewis base while the carbon powder is a Lewis acid. The carbon-coated fiber is held together with a binder (such as a latex or resin). The binder may be either neutral or acidic. A resin can also be used to prepare rigid electrostatic discharge objects. When a resin is used, the resin should also be neutral and preferably, is acidic.

摘要: The present invention concerns our discovery that a water-soluble cationic dye and binder composition may be dissolved in a solvent, and, optionally, a magnetic material may be uniformly dispersed within said solvent solution. The resulting solution or mixture is agitated with a hot water solution comprising an ionizable salt whereby there is essentially no partitioning of the cationic dyestuff into the aqueous phase. During the intermixing step, the solvent is driven off, thereby providing a solid mixture of ink which may be pulverized and used in a wide variety of printing processes.

摘要: A composition and foam insulation for copper tubing is described herein which is formulated to retard copper oxidation and eliminate or reduce stress corrosion in the copper tubing. The copper compatible, elastomeric foam insulation is made from a composition comprising 100 parts by weight of rubber, vinyl chloride polymer at about 15 to about 85 pphr, a plasticizer selected from the group consisting of an alkyl phosphate ester and an oxyalkyl phosphate ester at about 10 to about 100 pphr, a fire retardant in an amount of at least about 100 pphr, a stabilizer in an amount effective to prevent degradation of the rubber and vinyl chloride polymer, a preservative at from about 0.1 to about 10 pphr, and a lubricant at about 10 to about 85 pphr, wherein the composition and foamed product contains no more than about 5 parts of free phenol per million.
