    摘要: A detachable mounting clip arrangement according to the present invention includes a mounting clip supported by a support structure. The mounting clip is coupled to the support structure in a manner which allows rotation of the mounting clip between a first or normal position and a second position. A latching mechanism is coupled to the support structure so that when the mounting clip is in the first or normal position the latch is closed and the mounting clip is rotated to the second position, the latch opens. This is accomplished by a CAM pin coupled to the mounting clip which engages a CAM follower slot in a sliding latch member. When the mounting clip is rotated the sliding latch member slides with respect to a fixed latch member thereby opening the latch.

    摘要: A system for assembling a hard crystal blank onto a base which includes connecting pins, using an apparatus providing self-locating and self-fixturing features, is described. The apparatus comprises a hard crystal blank supporting structure which provides vertical, horizontal and transverse locating features. The vertical, horizontal and transverse locating features are contiguous to the crystal supporting structure and locate the hard crystal blank to the crystal supporting structure. The hard crystal blank once located may be secured to the crystal supporting structure with a suitable adhesive. Connecting features for securing the crystal supporting structure to the base are provided. Once the crystal supporting structure has been secured to the base, the vertical, horizontal and transverse locating features are separated from the crystal supporting structure. The hard crystal blank and crystal supporting structure so assembled are precisely aligned to the base.

    摘要: A shock absorbing insert for protecting a fragile quartz crystal includes a Teflon carrier with sloping walls which carries a number of dimple or rib shaped springs. These springs have varying spring rates increasing as they get farther from the base. The carrier is supported by a cushion spring system having a lower spring rate than that of the dimple or rib springs. This structure allows the force of mechanical shock to be distributed across the entire surface of the crystal rather than being concentrated at isolated areas of high stress.

    摘要: Packaging machinery for alternately inverting, collecting and grouping tapered objects in suitable quantities for packaging is disclosed. Two or more lines of containers proceed in parallel, one line remaining upright while an adjacent line is inverted in a turnover unit. Where the tapered objects are containers of products, great care and delicate handling are needed to avoid spillage or leakage. The turnover units accomplish the careful inversion of containers by indexing each container to be inverted through a radial path. Along the path the containers are first supported by carrying plates contacting the bottoms of the containers, then by the member forming the radial path, and finally by succeeding support plates contacting the tops of the containers. The adjacent line or lines of upright containers proceed in parallel with those passing through the turnover unit and a shuttling carriage groups the output of the lines for suitable nesting and arrangement.
