摘要： An apparatus and a method for joint power control in a wireless communication system are provided, in which customer premise equipments to be serviced are selected by scheduling, upon receipt of service requests from the customer premise equipments, the interference level of each of the selected customer premise equipments that affects an incumbent system is calculated, a total interference level affecting the incumbent system is calculated by summing the interference levels of the selected customer premise equipments, and a transmit power of the each customer premise equipment is reduced, if the total interference level is larger than a threshold.

摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for efficiently transmitting packets to MSs in a BWA system using RSs. A BS uses an ESH to combines packets, which are to be transmitted through RSs to MSs, into a larger packet prior to transmission. Alternatively, the BS transmits packets, which are to be transmitted to MSs, to an RS without discrimination therebetween, and the RS determines whether the packets are to be transmitted to the MSs, prior to transmission.

摘要： Apparatus and method for performing Automatic Retransmission reQuest (ARQ) in a wireless relay communication system are provided, which include performing ARQ with the base station (BS), transmitting data successfully received from the BS to mobile station (MS), and retransmitting corresponding data to the MS when a retransmission indication message is received from the BS. Since the relay station (RS) relays only the errorless data to the receiver, the reliability of the data received at the receiver can be enhanced. The load on the RS can be reduced because the transmitter controls the ARQ.

摘要： A hybrid forwarding apparatus and method for cooperative relaying in an OFDM network are provided. In a hybrid forwarding apparatus in a relay terminal, a forwarding scheme selector selects a forwarding scheme for transmission. An amplify and forward (AF) block amplifies data received from the forwarding scheme selector, if an AF scheme is selected. A decode and forward (DF) block decodes and encodes data received from the forwarding scheme selector, if a DF scheme is selected. A multiplexer provides the output data of the AF block and the DF block to an OFDM modulator.
