    摘要: A bag-in-box container includes a box defining a cavity receiving a bag. The bag includes walls formed of plastic sheet material forming a variable-volume chamber, and a fitting carried on one of the walls provides a passage communicating with the variable-volume chamber. The fitting is formed of material which is essentially impermeable to oxygen. A method of sealingly attaching the fitting to a wall of the bag without the use of heat sealing or adhesives is disclosed.

    摘要: A method of forming a honeycomb panel consisting of a plurality of interconnected permanent honeycomb cells that includes in one embodiment feeding two continuous sheets toward a joining station and prior to arrival, periodically creasing both sheets entirely across at timed intervals. After joining the sheets together at the joining station along parallel join lines midway between the creases, the resulting tubular structure is further sealed and expanded with pressure rollers and an expansion chamber to form the completed honeycomb panel. In another embodiment, an uncreased tubular structure is expanded by expansion plates that are inserted into each tube and permanent creases are formed midway between join lines by heating and pressing at the edges of the expansion plates.

    摘要: A method for producing a reinforced composite racket frame having an outer shell made of a fiber reinforced thermosetting plastic material and a foam core comprising the steps of: (a) placing an open-ended tubular shell of fiber reinforced thermosetting plastic material in a racket frame mold with two valve members respectively provided at an outlet and an inlet of the mold; (b) heating the mold to a first predetermined temperature for curing the tubular shell; (c) causing one of the valve members to be open and the other valve to be closed; (d) applying compressed air through the open valve to force the shell into intimate contact with an inner surface of the mold, the shell thereby assuming the shape of the mold; (e) cooling the mold to a second predetermined temperature at which the tubular shell becomes set to the mold shape; (f) opening the closed valve; (g) introducing a predetermined amount of a foamable material through at least one of the valves and into the shell; and (h) closing both of the valve members to allow the forming of a foam material at the second predetermined temperature within the tubular shell to form a core of the racket.
