摘要: A battery-powered motorized window treatment for covering at least a portion of a window may be adjusted into a service position to allow for access to at least one battery that is powering the motorized window treatment. A headrail of the motorized window treatment may be adjusted to the service position to allow for easy replacement of the batteries without unmounting the headrail and without requiring tools. The motorized window treatment may comprise brackets having buttons that may be actuated to release the headrail from a locked position, such that the head rail may be rotated into the service position. The headrail easily rotates through a controlled movement into the service position, such that a user only needs one free hand available to move the motorized window treatment into the service position and change the batteries.

摘要: A mounting bracket lock may be configured to secure the mounting bracket of a window treatment housing to a rail of the housing. The mounting bracket lock may be slidably attachable to the rail and, when in a locked position, may prevent the mounting bracket from detaching from the rail. The mounting bracket lock may include a body that is mountable to the rail. The body may include a first portion that slidably attaches to the rail, and a second portion that receives a portion of the rail and a portion of the mounting bracket, thereby securing the mounting bracket in a locked position relative to the rail. The body of the mounting bracket lock may define one or more projections that extend therefrom, and that engage in a friction fit between corresponding surfaces of the mounting bracket when the mounting bracket lock is in the locked position.

摘要: A method for installing sunshade in light opening of building element is disclosed. The light opening comprises first and second edge surfaces. A glazing unit extends from the first edge surface to the second edge surface. The first and/or second edge surface is provided with at least two fastening holes. A fastener is installed in the fastening holes. Installation rail is attached to the fasteners which comprise a tip and a head part. Before the building element is mounted in the building, fastening holes are provided and the first ends of the fastening holes opening in the first and/or the second edge surface are closed. The first ends of fastening holes are opened in connection with installing fasteners. Fasteners are driven in fastening holes by inserting or screwing the tip part into the fastening hole, and the installation rails are attached to the head part remaining outside the fastening hole.

摘要: The fastener is intended to be attached to a glazing element, which has a glass sheet and at least one frame part setting against the surface of the glass sheet. The fastener has a support part and a fastening element to be inserted into the gap between the glass sheet and frame. The fastening element comprises a locking element for locking to the surface of the frame part facing the glass sheet. The fastener installed in place remains in place in the gap between the frame part and glass sheet by means of the locking element without any other attachment elements. The locking element can be a locking projection turning to an angle from the plane of the fastening element, a flexible locking tongue turning to an angle from the plane of the fastening element or a rigid locking tip. The support part may comprise gripping means for attaching to the edge rail of the sunshade. In the method the fastener is attached to a glazing element so that at least part of the fastening element of the fastener is inserted into the gap between the glass sheet and frame part and by locking the fastening element to the surface of the frame part facing the glass sheet.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for retaining a foldable curtain in a stowed position. A curtain retention bracket comprises a U-shaped chambered body having high torsional stiffness and a clasp comprising a flexible strap. The clasp has one end configured to be pivotably coupled to one arm of the U-shaped chambered body and another end configured to be latchable onto the other arm of the U-shaped chambered body. The clasp can be easily opened and closed manually using one hand. The geometry of the clasp is such that forces exerted on it by the stowed curtain cause it to pull tighter closed. The U-shaped chambered body may be produced using an additive manufacturing process.

摘要: A base structure and associated method for converting the base structure into an operable vane on a shade for an architectural opening. The base structure includes a back sheet and a front sheet attached together in engagement regions spaced along the length of the back sheet and front sheet. The front sheet is separated into front strip sections having a free end. Operating elements are positioned along the back sheet and situated so as to move relative thereto. The operating elements are attached adjacent to a free end of the front strip. Movement of the operating elements actuates the free end of the front strip to move from a closed position to an open position as desired by the user.

摘要: A method in accordance with the invention includes a headrail bracket configured to be inserted into a headrail at an angle from a top thereof. The headrail bracket includes clips snap into a top edge of the headrail, and an attachment mechanism to attach to a gearbox assembly configured to rotate a tilt rod of a window blind tilting mechanism. In certain embodiments, the headrail bracket is a single component with a substantially low profile. This headrail bracket may span a top of the headrail. In other embodiments, the headrail bracket includes a first component to secure a first end of the gearbox assembly to the headrail and a second component to secure a second end of the gearbox assembly to the headrail. In certain embodiments, the first component slides over the first end of the gearbox assembly and the second component slides over the second end of the gearbox assembly.

摘要: An apparatus for installing a window covering is disclosed. In one embodiment, such an apparatus includes a stationary portion for attachment to an end of a headrail of a window covering, and a moveable portion to contact an inside of a window casing. A threaded member is provided that, when rotated, translates the moveable portion relative to the stationary portion. A manual actuator is provided to rotate the threaded member. In certain embodiments, the actuator is a thumb wheel configured to rotate the threaded member. In other embodiments, the actuator is a lever arm, such as a ratcheting lever arm, configured to rotate the threaded member. A corresponding method is also disclosed and claimed herein.
