    摘要: A pixel unit, method for sensing touch of an object, and a display apparatus incorporating the same are provided. The display apparatus includes a data line. The pixel unit includes a first switch circuit electrically connected to the data line and a sensing circuit electrically connected to the first switch circuit. The sensing circuit generates a signal in response to the touch of the object, while the signal is transmitted through the data line with the first switch circuit turned on. In addition, the display apparatus further includes a readout line. The pixel unit further includes a second switch circuit electrically connected to the readout line. The sensing circuit is electrically connected to the second switch circuit. In a first time period, the sensing circuit receives a reference voltage via the first switch circuit. Then the signal generated by the touch of the object is transmitted through the readout line via the second switch circuit in a second time period.

The pixel unit includes a first switch circuit electrically connected to the data line and a sensing circuit electrically connected to the first switch circuit. Two more thin film transistors is added to the original driving circuit of display so that the driving circuit now includes four thin film transistors such that the gate terminal of the thin film transistor's voltage level increases as the threshold voltage of the driving thin film transistor increases. The driving current of the thin film transistor is able to maintain a constant value so that the initial luminance of the display remains unchanged. Therefore, the present invention can effectively increase the average working life of the display.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method to reduce the power consumption. The method comprises these steps. First, the RGB gray levels of a pixel are decided. Then, the RGB gray level values are transformed to XYZ tristimulus values. The XYZ tristimulus values are transformed to L*a*b* values. Next, the L*′a*′b*′ values are determined based on an acceptable color difference range. The color difference between the L*′a*′b*′ and the L*a*b* is in the color difference range. Finally, the L*′a*′b*′ values are transformed to X′Y′Z′ values and the X′Y′Z′ values are transformed to R′G′B′ gray level values.

Each storage capacitor is discharged via the driving TFT and OLED until conductive current of each OLED is almost zero so as to record a sum of a voltage drop across each OLED under a specific condition and the threshold voltage of the driving TFT. By using the sum of the voltage drop across each OLED and the threshold voltage of the corresponding TFT in the subsequent OLED driving process, the luminance reduction issue caused by TFT threshold-voltage shift and OLED material decay can be solved.
