摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing defining a plurality of passageways and a plurality of contacts disposed in the passageways by two arrangement manners. Each contact includes a mating portion located at an upper end and a soldering portion located at a bottom end. Wherein a first arrangement manner is that neighboring mating portions defined a distance in a same row is smaller than a distance defined by corresponding neighboring soldering portions, and neighboring mating portions defined a distance in a same column is equal to a distance defined by corresponding neighboring soldering portions. A second arrangement manner is that neighboring mating portions defined a distance in both a same row and a same column is smaller than a distance defined by corresponding neighboring soldering portions.

摘要： An LGA socket used for connecting a chip module and a print circuit board includes an insulative housing and a number of terminals received in the housing. The housing has a top surface and a bottom surface opposite to each other. Each of the terminals includes an upper arm extending beyond the top surface of the housing and a lower arm extending beyond the bottom surface of the housing. The upper arms and the lower arms of the terminals extend from the base portion with different lengths so as to form different pitches at top and bottom surfaces of the housing.

摘要： An electrical connector includes an upper housing formed with a plurality of upper through holes therein, and a lower housing located under the upper housing and formed with a plurality of lower through holes therein corresponding to the upper through holes, respectively. A plurality of contacts are received within the upper housing and the lower housing, and respectively has an upper contacting portion and a lower contacting portion. At least some of the contacts extend with angles of inclination varying in sequence so that a distance defined by two neighboring lower contacting portions is larger than that defined by corresponding two neighboring upper contacting portions.

摘要： A socket for receiving an IC (integrate circuit) package comprises an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts. The insulative housing defines a plurality of contact passageways for receiving the contacts. Each contact has a retaining portion, an elastic arm and a soldering portion, and the retaining portion is formed with a first part, a second part and a bending part between the first and the second parts. Each of the first and the second parts is formed with a protrusion on an outside lateral edge thereof away from the bending part for interfering with the contact passageway of the insulative housing to retain the contact to the insulative housing.

摘要： A socket assembly, comprising a socket, a package received in the socket, a pressing member arranged upon the package and downwardly pressing the package and two heat pipes attached to the pressing member. The pressing member is formed with four arch grooves along a peripheral thereof, and the arch grooves allow linking members to pass therethrough and rotatablely retain the pressing member on a printed circuit board. Therefore, the pressing member can rotate in a certain range, by sliding the arch groove with respect to the linking member, to provide a flexible arrangement for heat pipes.

摘要： An electrical contact adapted for use in an electrical socket comprises a planar retaining body for being retained in the electrical socket, a soldering portion extending from a bottom end of the retaining body, and a resilient arm extending from a top end of the retaining body. The resilient arm comprises a first beam sloped upwardly and a second beam extending upwardly and reversely from the first beam. The first beam has a first angle with respect to a plane of the retaining body and a second angle with respect to another plane both perpendicular to the plane of the retaining body and a horizontal plane. The second beam has a contacting end at the top end thereof and toward the retaining body. An offset is defined between the contacting end of the resilient arm and the soldering portion.
