    摘要: A method for fabricating liquid crystal (LC) alignment includes the steps of processing an alignment film having a plurality of liquid crystal molecules with a single or plurality of plasma generating devices, such that the liquid crystal molecules are aligned at a high pretilt angle. Compared with the prior art, the present invention is suitable for modifying the alignment film surface adjustablely in directions and angles, and can attain the effect of alignment stability with a high pretilt angle in a single process, thus overcoming the drawbacks of the prior art.

A representative input display comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a photo sensor, a color filter, and a light-shielding element. The liquid crystal layer accommodated in a liquid crystal space is sandwiched between transparent first and second substrates, comprising a first substrate side and a second substrate side. The photo sensor overlies the first substrate side. The color filter disposed in the liquid crystal space, over the photo sensor. The color filter comprises a first opening exposing portions of the photo sensor. The light-shielding element is disposed alongside portions of a periphery of the photo sensor.

The readout pixel includes the fundamental elements as the normal pixel, and further includes a photo sensing element with a second switching element and a third switching element for generating a photo signal. The second switching element includes a second gate electrode connecting to a gate line, a second drain electrode, and a second source electrode connecting to a readout line. The third switching element includes a third gate electrode and a third drain electrode both connecting to a reference voltage, and a third source electrode connecting to the second drain electrode.

    摘要: The present invention provides a Shield-Junction thin film transistor structure. According to the structure of the present invention, on top of the passivation layer, there is an island of protection electrode electrically insulated from the bottom ITO electrode. The protection electrode electrically connects with the gate line through a via hole and covers part of the drain electrode and its adjacent part of the TFT channel. Since the protection electrode does not cover or overlap with the source electrode, it has a negligible contribution to the data-line capacitance.
