摘要: The present invention relates to a process for converting a hydrocarbon feedstock into olefins and preferably also into BTX, said converting process comprising the following steps of: feeding a hydrocarbon feed-stock to a first hydrocracking unit, feeding the effluent from said first hydrocracking unit to a first separation section, separating said effluent in said first separation section feeding at least one stream to a dehydrogenation unit, and feeding the effluent from said at least one dehydrogenation unit to a second separation section.

摘要: Methods and systems for improving energy conversion from the heat available in a hydrocarbon feedstream during the production of olefins. In a particular non-limiting embodiment, a method can include increasing the temperature of a hydrocarbon feedstream and a hydrogen gas feedstream via a first heat exchanger; combining and feeding the feedstreams into a reactor to produce a reactor effluent including one or more olefins; expanding the reactor effluent in a reactor effluent expander to decrease the pressure and/or temperature of the reactor effluent; transferring the reactor effluent to the heat exchanger to increase the temperature of the feedstreams and/or decrease the temperature of the reactor effluent; and compressing the reactor effluent in a compressor, where the expansion of the reactor effluent drives the compressor.

摘要: A separation system for separating a feed stream comprising propylene and propane and a method for separating such feed stream. The separation system includes a distillation column for producing a light stream comprising propylene and a heavy stream comprising propane; a reboiler for reboiling a part of the first heavy stream to produce a boiled heavy stream; a condenser for cooling the light stream to produce a condensed light stream; and an absorption refrigerator for receiving water and providing chilled water, for receiving hot water from a waste heat source and providing a cooled hot water and for receiving cooling water and providing a heated cooling water. The absorption refrigerator is arranged such that the cooling of the water and the hot water occurs by the cooling water. The condenser is arranged such that the cooling of the light stream occurs by the chilled water from the absorption refrigerator.

Methods can include combusting fuel in the presence of compressed air to produce a flue gas, wherein the flue gas drives a turbine to produce electricity. Methods can further include superheating the dilution steam with the flue gas, combining the dilution steam with a feed stream including hydrocarbons to produce a mixed feed stream, and steam cracking the mixed feed stream to produce a product stream.
