Abstract: A valve including a flow control assembly having an adaptive, floating closure member is provided. In one embodiment, a ball valve includes a floating closure member having a shoulder enclosed within a recess of the valve body. The recess is larger than the shoulder of the closure member and allows axial movement of the closure member with respect to the valve body and along a flow path through the valve. Additional valve systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A valve having a flow control assembly with a bore having particle-deflecting features is provided. In one embodiment, the bore of a flow control assembly of a valve includes a contour shaped to deflect particles in a fluid stream through the valve toward the center of the fluid stream and away from a sealing surface of the flow control assembly. The bore may also, in some embodiments, create a Venturi effect that cleans sealing surfaces by drawing particles away from the sealing surfaces. Additional valve systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A valve having a flow control assembly with a bore having particle-deflecting features is provided. In one embodiment, the bore of a flow control assembly of a valve includes a contour shaped to deflect particles in a fluid stream through the valve toward the center of the fluid stream and away from a sealing surface of the flow control assembly. Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include check valves capable of improved dynamic performance (e.g., closing and opening times). The check valves may include an annular disc having an opening.
