Abstract:
A device includes at least one magnetic field generator placed on a first plane of a right section of a shaft and at least one magnetic field detector placed in a second plane of a right section of the shaft. The detector produces a signal proportional to the torque following the relative angular shift of the field generator in relation to the detector, the magnetic field generator having a magnetic structure supported by support mechanisms connected to the turning shaft. The magnetic field detector is located roughly opposite the magnetic field generator and is supported by support mechanisms connected to the turning shaft.

A magnetoresistive sensor for measuring the strength of a magnetic filed includes a stack of a reference element, a separation element and an element sensitive to the magnetic field. The reference element and the sensitive element have, respectively, a first and a second magnetic anisotropy in a first and a second direction. The sensitive element includes the superposition of a layer of a ferromagnetic material and a layer of an antiferromagnetic material which are arranged to obtain a magnetic moment having a component oriented in the direction of the field to be measured that varies reversibly in relation to the strength of the magnetic field to be measured, and linearly in an adjustable field range.
Abstract:
The Invention relates to a method for protecting a mechanical machine operation by punctually adding the determined quantity of at least one type of additive into said machine consisting in using an additive injection system (G1-G3) which comprises a reservoir containing a determined quantity of additive and a gas generator for expelling said additive from the reservoir to the machine and in actuating the gas generator when said machine operates at least in a critical condition. The mechanical machine provided with the system (G1-G3) for injecting said protective additive is also disclosed.

An actuating system having an electric motor that is controlled by a computer as a function of a setpoint position of a member that is to be actuated. The actuating system includes an encoder that is dependent on the movement of the motor, a sensor designed to deliver two square digital position signals in quadrature and which are representative of the position of the encoder, a device for processing the signals and which can determine the actual position of the encoder, and a device for comparing the actual position of the encoder with the position of the encoder that corresponds, in theory, to the applied setpoint. The actuating system can be used to actuate a member and/or actuate a device that meters the amount of fuel provided to a heat engine.
Abstract:
A suspension stop for a motor vehicle wheel assembly comprising a fixed member adapted to be fixed to the chassis (2) of the vehicle and a rotating member adapted to be fixed to the suspension spring (4) so as to be rotationally moved under the effect of the forces exerted by the spring. The stop includes a device for measuring the vertical forces applied to the vehicle wheel. The device includes a pulse-generating coder (11) fixed to one of the members, a sensor (12) fixed to the other member which is able to detect these pulses so as to determine the angular position of the rotating member with respect to the fixed member, and a calculation device able, from this position, to calculate the corresponding vertical force applied.A method of measuring the vertical forces applied to a wheel associated with the chassis (2) of a vehicle by such a stop is also provided.

A rolling-contact bearing having a termal compensation insert. The bearing includes a first ring with a first ball race, a second ring with the second ball race, and a row of rolling bodies which obliquely contact the ball races. A compensating insert is in stop contact on one of the rings. One of the sheet metal rings has a supporting surface which is extended by a radial stop extension for blocking the insert axially and radially.
Abstract:
A rotating shaft is fitted with two members for detecting magnetic field that are arranged symmetrically with respect to the shaft and are mounted on a first support fixed in line with a first point on the axis of the shaft. Two magnetic-field generators are arranged symmetrically with respect to the shaft and are mounted on a second support fixed in line with a second point on the axis of the shaft, the first point and the second point being axially offset from one another. The inner race of a first roller bearing is machined on the periphery of the shaft in line with the second point, where one of the supports, known as the main support, is attached.
