The power supply circuit includes: a buck switching regulator switching at least one power switch therein to convert an input voltage to a middle voltage according to a control signal; a charge pump coupled to the buck switching regulator, wherein when the charge pump is enabled, the charge pump boosts the middle voltage to provide an output voltage higher than the middle voltage, and when the charge pump is disabled, the middle voltage is supplied as the output voltage; and a controller generating the control signal to control the switching regulator, and determining to enable or disable the charge pump according to a level of the input voltage.

The short-circuit detection circuit detects whether an output node is short-circuited to a first predetermined level. A first switch circuit which is controlled by a control signal is coupled between the output node and a second predetermined level.
