摘要： An application-specific integrated circuit and related network switch are disclosed. The integrated circuit includes switch circuitry for receiving a 802.11 wireless data frame and forwarding it to a predetermined port. Inspection circuitry is provided for inspecting attributes of the data frame. Decision circuitry is provided for instructing the switch circuitry to forward the data frame based on the attributes, both 802.3 wired and 802.11 wireless.

摘要： A programmable mobile terminal which includes a thumb wheel for selecting among a plurality of functions executable by the mobile terminal. The programmable mobile terminal allows a user to employ the same hand that is holding the mobile terminal to scroll through and select a function among a plurality of functions via the thumb wheel. The wheel portion of thumb wheel is rotated either clockwise or counter clockwise by the user's thumb or other finger to scroll a screen cursor through the functions and once the screen cursor of the mobile terminal is positioned at a desired function, the user can depress the wheel portion in a transaxial direction with the same thumb or finger to select the desired function. Also, the programmable mobile terminal allows a user to scan bar code information and use the thumb wheel for selecting among a plurality of functions relating to the scanned bar code information.

摘要： In accordance with one embodiment, an article of manufacture embodied in a computer-readable medium for use in a processing system for modeling configurations of a wireless local area network is provided. The article of manufacture includes a characteristic and configurations receiving logic for causing the processing system to determine a set of original characteristics and configurations of the wireless local area network. As well, a simulation logic for causing the processing system to simulate an outcome based upon a set of configurations in accordance with a goal. In other embodiments, the goal may be user defined or based upon historical data. Further, a configuration creation logic for causing the processing system to create a set of new configurations based upon the outcome and a management logic for causing the processing system to apply the set of new configurations to the wireless local area network are provided.
