Abstract:
In a method for integrating functions of a telecommunications network (TN) in a data network (DN), a switching System (PBX) of the telecommunications network is connected to an IM Server (XS) of the data network via a device (CCGW), with the aid of which the IM Server is rendered capable of providing Computer telephony integration Services of the switching System (PBX) to a Communications subscriber of the data network.
Abstract:
A terminal operated at a switching facility has at least one indicating element which indicates operating modes of another terminal allocated to the indicating element. The other terminal is operated at another switching facility. Calls to the other terminal may be picked up by operating a function element, e.g., pressing a key, associated with the indicating element that indicates the operating modes of the other terminal, when an incoming call to the other terminal is indicated.
Abstract:
A system having at least two communication systems which manage resources in each case, in which in each case an identification code is assigned to the resources for identification, and in which the resources managed by a single communication system can be differentiated on the basis of their identification codes, and having at least one application for controlling and/or monitoring the resources by transmitting messages comprising the identification code of the respective resource between the at least one application and the communication systems, characterized in that an extension of all identification codes is provided for differentiating the resources, which extension is performed at least by every communication system when sending messages and comprises an unambiguous identifier of the sending communication systems, at least whenever a plurality of resources have the same non-extended identification code in each case.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of Computer telephony Integration and in particular to the migration of the interface standardised according to ECMA-29 to the private branch exchange (PBX) via a CSTA gateway. The clients (C1-C4) in the data network subscribe to CTI Services and in this regard must be reachable by the CSTA gateway (CCGW). If this is not the case, because for example an error occurs in the data network, then the transmission of unnecessary messages should be prevented or stopped. The problem is solved in that the clients are connected via a server (XS) to the CCGW, wherein the server monitors the Status of the clients and acknowledges the messages addressed to an unreachable client with error messages. The server (XS) is preferably an XMPP server and the clients (C1-C4) are preferably XMPP clients. In order to permit transport of the CSTA messages via XMPP, info/query stanzas according to RFC3920 are used, since they have the advantage over message stanzas that they are acknowledged by the remote Station.

Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for transferring control of an existing multi-participant conversation (5, 15, 25), in which at least two communication terminals (D1, D2, D3) are connected to each other through a data connection (C1, C2, C5), to a conference control application (KS). The method comprises the following steps: Establishment of a virtual conference room (CR) that serves as an anchor point for the application (KS) and can be a virtual participant in the conference, switching (9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59) of the conference room (CR) into the existing data connection (C1, C2, C5), and assignment (8, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60) of the master role to the conference room (CR), wherein a signal generated by the application (KS) causes the switching (9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59) of the conference room (CR) into the existing data connection (C1, C2, C5), and the assignment (8, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60) of the master role to the conference room (CR).

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for providing Voice over IP (VoIP) in a communication system with a number of terminals operating with VoIP, between which a transmission of voice data according to VoIP or a signalling is achieved, wherein the signalling is achieved using the Computer Supported Telecommunication Application (CSTA) interface standard. Telephone services can be controlled by a computer using the CSTA protocol. As for conventional application, H323 protocol and SIP are used for IP telephony processing of audio/video streams of a conversation. The invention is based on replacing H323 protocol and SIP by a CSTA protocol only when the latter is correspondingly extended.
Abstract:
A method for call answering in a distributed communications system having a plurality of communications devices, in which a subscriber can be registered on communications terminals associated with the communications devices in the distributed communications system. In this case, incoming calls are allocated to the communications terminals according to prescribable criteria. If a subscriber called by an incoming call is not available, an announcement function is performed which prompts activation of an announcement on a central communications device in the distributed communications system.
