Abstract: A secondary battery, a preparation method thereof, an apparatus containing the same, and a binder formula are provided. The secondary battery includes a negative electrode plate. The negative electrode plate includes a binder. The binder includes a polymer obtained by crosslinking in a binder composition. The binder composition includes a first organic binder A, a second organic binder B, and an inorganic binder C. The first organic binder A has more than two hydroxyl groups. The second organic binder B has more than two —C(O)R, where R independently represents —OX or —NH2, and X independently represents hydrogen or alkali metal ion. The inorganic binder C includes one or more of silicate, borate, and phosphate.

Abstract: A secondary battery, including a negative electrode plate and an electrolyte are provided. In some embodiments, the negative electrode plate includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active substance layer, a first metal oxide layer, and a second metal ion adsorption layer that are sequentially arranged on at least one surface of the negative electrode current collector; the first metal oxide is selected from at least one of manganese dioxide, molybdenum oxide, magnesium oxide, aluminum oxide, and phosphorus pentoxide; and the electrolyte contains second metal ions. In the secondary battery provided in this application, the first metal oxide layer is provided on the negative electrode plate, and the second metal ion adsorption layer is formed on a negative electrode to serve as a protective layer, thereby inhibiting decomposition of electrolytes and improving cycling performance and rate performance of battery cells.

Abstract: An electrode assembly, a battery, a battery module, a battery pack and a powered device are provided. The electrode assembly comprises a first electrode piece, a second electrode piece with opposite polarity to the first electrode piece, and a separator arranged between the first electrode piece and the second electrode piece; the electrode assembly is obtained by winding the first electrode piece, the second electrode piece and the separator; and the separator comprises a base film and a coating provided on at least part of the surface of the base film, and the coating comprises a hydraulic inorganic material capable of hardening upon reaction with water. The present application can solve the problem of central hole collapse in the electrode assembly and the battery, and improve the safety performance and cycle performance of the battery.

Abstract: A battery, a battery module, a battery pack and an electric device are provided. In some embodiments, the battery includes: a positive electrode, a separator and a negative electrode, wherein the separator includes a base film, a first coating provided on a first surface of the base film, and a second coating provided on a second surface of the base film, the first coating includes a first polar substance, and hydrogen bonds are formed between the first polar substance and a positive binder; hydrogen bonds are formed between the second polar substance and a negative binder and/or a negative active component. In the present disclosure, binding forces between the separator and the positive electrode and the negative electrode may be increased by the hydrogen bonds, thus reducing a cycle expansion rate of a bare cell and improving a high-rate discharge performance and a cycle performance of the battery.
