Abstract:
The present invention relates to elastomer toothed belts comprising a fabric spanning the teeth of the toothed belt, wherein the elastomer mixture forming the teeth contains a crosslinked ethylene-propylene rubber (EPM) and/or a crosslinked ethylene-propylene terpolymer rubber (EPDM) accounting for at least 70% by weight of the elastomer mixture based on the polymer proportion and wherein an interlayer is arranged between the fabric and the elastomer mixture forming the teeth which contains at least 70% by weight of hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) based on the polymer proportion of the interlayer. Such elastomer toothed belts are halogen-free and feature improved durability and good low-temperature stability properties. The present invention further relates to processes for producing such elastomer toothed belts and to the use of a layer of hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) in such toothed belts to increase service life, to improve low-temperature stability and to improve the adhesion between the teeth and the fabric.

Abstract:
An article comprises an elastic main body on the basis of at least one thermoplastic elastomer or on the basis of a vulcanizate, with an article surface that is provided with a textile covering, wherein the textile covering is a plated knit fabric. The article is, in particular, a drive belt, preferably a V-ribbed belt.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a drive belt (1) having a main body into which one or more tension strands (3) composed of para-aramid in cord construction are embedded, wherein each tension strand (3) has twisted plies each formed from at least one twisted yarn, and wherein the turning direction of the respective ply (first twist) is the opposite of the turning direction of the cord (final twist). It is a feature of the invention that the tension strands (3) each have at least four plies, wherein the twist factor TM1 of the plies (first twist) is between 4.5 and 5.4, and the twist factor TM2 of the cord (final twist) is between 2.7 and 3.8, and the ratio of the twist factor of the plies to the twist factor of the cord (TM1/TM2) is between 1.3 and 1.5.
Abstract:
A method for producing a sheet-like composite fabric material, in particular a rubberized fabric or a fabric provided with a polymer preparation, for covering drive belts, the composite fabric material comprising a textile integrated in a matrix of elastomeric material, preferably at least one fabric layer integrated in a rubber matrix, the textile or the fabric layer and the elastomeric material being introduced into a gap between a band and a cylindrical molding wheel and molded to form a composite material between the band and the molding wheel at a temperature below the vulcanization temperature, the band looping around the molding wheel at a looping angle under pressure. Likewise disclosed is a drive belt with a covering of composite material produced according to the invention.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an article having an elastic main body based on at least one thermoplastic elastomer or based on a vulcanizate and having an article surface that is provided with a textile overlay in the form of a plated knitted fabric, wherein the textile overlay is composed of at least two types of yarn that alternate in the individual knitted courses at regular intervals.

Abstract:
A V-ribbed belt having an elastic main body constructed from at least one rubber mixture including an outer ply as a belt backing and a substructure having a ribbed force-transmitting side. To improve friction and optimize service life the V-ribbed belt has a coating made of a knitted fabric on its force-transmitting side, in which the average basis weight of the textile before vulcanization is between 140 and 190 g/m2.
