Abstract: Endoscopic devices are disclosed for viewing and/or performing a surgery on a patient's organ, such as a uterus. In an embodiment, the endoscopic deice includes a housing, a cannula, an imaging system, and a flexible printed circuit (FPC). The cannula is configured for insertion through a cervix into a uterus. The cannula has a lumen that extends from a proximal end of the cannula to a distal end of the cannula. The proximal end of the cannula is secured within the housing. The imaging system is located at a distal end of the cannula and includes a camera and one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The FPC extends within the lumen of the cannula and electrically connects the camera and the LEDs to electrical components located in the housing. The lumen is configured to provide a passage for a working tool.

Abstract: A tray for securing an implantable device to a carrier member includes a slot configured to retain the carrier member and a receptacle adjacent the slot. The carrier member surrounds a shaft of the implantable device. The receptacle has a first width at a proximal end of the receptacle to receive first and second arms of the implantable device in an initial state in which the first and second arms extend substantially perpendicularly from the shaft. The receptacle has a second width at a distal end of the receptacle for receiving the first and second arms of the implantable device in a collapsed state in which the first and second arms are folded against the shaft such that the carrier member can be slid over the first and second arms to retain the first and second arms. The second width is less than the first width.

Abstract: Endoscopic devices are disclosed for viewing and/or performing a surgery on a patient's organ, such as a uterus. Abstract: A specimen carrier includes an elongate member defining an external sealing surface and a support surface upon which a specimen can be carried, the elongate member including a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. The specimen carrier further includes a cap configured to be passed over a portion of the elongate member to close a region of the cap that surrounds the specimen when the cap is passed over the portion of the elongate member, the cap defining an internal sealing surface formed complementary to the external sealing surface, and the cap including a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is greater than the first coefficient of thermal expansion. When the elongate member and cap are together placed in a cooling substance, the internal sealing surface of the cap compresses the external sealing surface of the elongate member to form a hermetic seal.

Abstract: An endoscopic device includes a single-use cannula configured for insertion through a cervix into a uterus, a camera secured to a distal end region of the single-use cannula for acquiring images of the uterus, a connection hub secured to a proximal end region of the cannula, a reusable display configured to present the images acquired by the camera and that is securable to the connection hub, and a handle secured to the connection hub. The handle is pivotable between a first position in which the handle is stowed along the connection hub and arranged to prevent attachment of the reusable display to the connection hub and a second position in which the handle is deployed to an orientation that is antiparallel to the connection hub and arranged to permit attachment of the reusable display to the connection hub.
