The system includes a plurality of actuator/valve combinations for different portions of the air mattress. A pulsating valve is provided which includes a housing having therein supply and exhaust valves each directly controlled by supply and exhaust solenoids.

摘要： A valve assembly for a patient support having a mattress including a bladder comprises an interior housing formed to include a supply chamber, an exhaust chamber, a plenum, and an exterior housing surrounding the interior housing. A supply valve and an exhaust valve are located in the interior housing and connect the supply chamber and the exhaust chamber, respectively, to the plenum. A supply solenoid and an exhaust solenoid are coupled to the interior housing and covered by the exterior housing. The supply solenoid and the exhaust solenoid are coupled to the supply and exhaust valves respectively.

摘要： Instruments and methods are provided for re-positioning and extracting spinal implants in a space between vertebrae. The instruments can include rotator instruments, hook instruments, and extractor instruments engageable to the implant. A method for manipulating a spinal implant in a space between vertebrae includes positioning a spinal implant in the space between vertebrae; engaging the spinal implant with a hook member at a distal end of a hook instrument; pulling the spinal implant toward an opening into the space between the vertebrae; grasping the spinal implant with an engaging assembly of an extractor instrument; and removing the spinal implant from the space with the extractor instrument.

摘要： A retractor assembly for percutaneous surgery in a patient that includes first and second retractor portions positionable opposite one another in an incision of the patient. A working channel extends between the first and second retractor portions and provides access to a location within the patient adjacent to distal ends of the first and second retractor portions. The first and second retractor portions are movable relative to one another to adjust the size of the working channel. An add-on retractor element is provided that is mounted to the first and second retractor portions and spans the gap between the first and second retractor portions to prevent creep of soft tissue into the working channel when the retractor portions are separated.

摘要： A spinous process implant with two plates that are connected together with a post. The implant is configured for each plate to be positioned on outer lateral sides of spinous processes with the post extending through the interspinous space. One or both plates may be movable along the length of the post to accommodate different anatomies such as for relatively wide or thin spinous processes. The post includes an enlarged head at a first end to prevent the first plate from disassociating from the post in a first direction. The post also includes a boss at a second end to prevent the second plate from disassociating from the post in a second direction. Methods of attaching the implants to the spinous processes are also disclosed.
