Abstract: The present invention relates to a shoulder prosthesis comprising:—a metaglene element (2) or baseplate;—a pin (3) projecting from said metaglene element (2);—a through-hole (11) in the centre of said metaglene element (2);—at least one through-hole (5) formed in a periphery of the metaglene element (2) with respect to said central through-hole (11);—a glenosphere element (12) opposite said pin (3) with respect to said metaglene element (2);—a central compression screw (9) housed in said through-hole (11) in the centre of said metaglene element (2) and having a head abutting onto the bottom of said hole (11); and—wherein the central through-hole (11) has an opening (11A) that is threaded in a stretch to receive the end of a safety screw (18) passing through the glenosphere element (12);—a connector element (13) between the metaglene element (2) and the glenosphere element (12), the metaglene element (2) providing a seat (14) for housing the connector element (13) projecting around the central through-hole (11).

Abstract: Placement apparatus and methods of use for impanation of spacers within an inter-vertebral disc space. In one embodiment, the load-bearing superstructure of the implant is subdivided and the bone forming material is positioned within an internal space of the placement instrument but external to the load bearing elements themselves. At least a portion of the bone graft material is freely contained within the disc space. A method of using the device is also described. In one embodiment, the placement device is used to place the implantable spacers at opposing ends of the disc space using a directly lateral surgical approach.

The body includes a peripheral structure and three support beams extending in a central region of the peripheral structure. Arched bone contacting elements extend between adjacent beams and between beams and the peripheral structure. The arched bone contacting elements include flared legs. The arched bone contacting elements may be arranged in V-like configurations on the superior and inferior sides.

Abstract: A vertebral facet distractor includes an elongated generally cylindrical contour including a first end surface, a second end surface, an outer sidewall, an inner sidewall, and a central lumen having an opening in one of the first end surface and the second end surface. The outer sidewall may be provided with a surface irregularity, such as a screw thread. The vertebral facet distractor may further include a holder including an elongated body and a tip that extends through the opening and is engaged with the contour. The tip may be provided with a screw thread that is engaged with the contour or may engage the contour in an interference fit.

Abstract: An implant may include a body having a leading edge portion, a trailing edge portion, and an intermediate portion. The leading edge portion may include a substantially smooth surface forming a substantial majority of a leading edge surface and the trailing edge portion may include a monolithic structure including at least one receptacle configured to receive an insertion tool. The intermediate portion may include a plurality of elongate curved structural members continuously formed with at least one of the leading edge portion and the trailing edge portion. In addition, the elongate curved structural members may be configured such that the intermediate portion remains substantially rigid under compressive forces during insertion of the implant between bone surfaces of a patient. Also, the elongate curved structural members may include an elongate curved structural member extending longitudinally from the leading edge portion to the trailing edge portion and having a substantially sinusoidal configuration.

Abstract: A glenoid implant comprises a body comprising: an articular surface and a scapula-engaging surface, the scapula-engaging surface including first and second portions angled relative to each other; and a fixation feature extending from the scapula-engaging surface. A method comprises: forming a planar bone surface at a glenoid using a guide pin; forming a first bore into the glenoid located near the guide pin; forming a second bore into the glenoid offset from the first bore; inserting an augment ream guide into the first and second bores; and forming an angled bone surface at the glenoid relative to the planar bone surface using the augment ream guide. A ream guide comprises: a base having first and second surfaces; a bone peg extending from the first surface; an alignment peg spaced from the bone peg; and a guide peg extending from the second surface at an oblique angle to the bone peg.

Abstract: A talar implant includes a post projecting from a superior surface of the plate and includes at least one threaded hole. A talar dome having an inferior surface is configured to face the plate and an opening in the inferior surface is shaped to receive the post. The talar dome includes at least one through hole having a threaded surface and a groove. The groove has a larger outer diameter than the threaded surface. At least one fastener is configured to engage the threaded hole of the post and the threaded surface of the through hole. The at least one fastener has a groove that is aligned with the groove of the through hole when the fastener is inserted in the talar dome and the post. At least one clip is configured to engage the groove of the through hole of the talar dome and the groove of the fastener.

Abstract: A revision implant component comprising a body having a plurality of screw holes and a tapered head configured to engage a talar dome component of a multi-component ankle prosthesis. A surgical method is disclosed which includes creating an incision in a patient, exposing a multi-component ankle prosthesis implanted in a patient, disassembling at least one component of the multi-component ankle prosthesis, affixing a revision implant component to non-damaged bone using screws, and coupling the revision implant component to a talar dome of the multi-component ankle prosthesis.

Abstract: Intervertebral spacer assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. A method of insertion includes inserting an intervertebral spacer and plate together using an insertion tool and, upon removal of the insertion tool, the intervertebral spacer and plate are no longer considered connected/coupled and act as separate components.
