Abstract: In a coating apparatus, chucking and transfer mechanism includes an endless conveyor. Chuck means are mounted on spaced links of the conveyor. Each chuck comprises separately movable, recessed sections which mate in article receiving position. CHannel means within each section deliver purge fluid to each cavity defined by the mated sections.
