摘要： A display driver for driving a display panel includes a data selector configured to selectively output one of a preset digital code and a gamma correction value under control of a control signal; and a data processor configured to selectively perform a gamma correction operation on an RGB signal based on the information output by the data selector. When the information output to the data processor is the preset digital code, the data processor is directed to not perform gamma correction; when the information output to the data processor is the gamma correction value, the data processor is notified of the requirement for gamma correction based on the gamma correction value. A display apparatus is driven by the display driver.

摘要： An exemplary method for driving a display panel with plural dithering units formed by plural pixels arranged in a matrix form, includes steps as follows: driving sub-pixel units of the pixels according to a sequence of frames to enable each sub-pixel unit selectively having a positive polarity or a negative polarity; and providing a series of predetermined dithering patterns with a cyclical change period for the dithering units. For each color of the sub-pixels in a same row of the pixels of each dithering unit, summations of the polarities of same color sub-pixels cancel each other out.

摘要： An exemplary liquid crystal display (LCD) provides data lines, gate lines, and pixel units arranged as a matrix array. A method for driving the LCD includes a step of analyzing and determining polarities of one column of the pixel units as determining pixels, thereby defining a first polarity group and a second polarity group, and a step of sequentially applying corresponding data signals to a part of the whole pixel units that are arranged at same rows with the first polarity group in a part of a period of a frame. Corresponding data signals are sequentially applied to the other part of the whole pixel units that are arranged at same rows with the second polarity group in another part of a period of a frame.
