    Abstract: A battery measurement device for measuring a state of a rechargeable battery, includes a signal control unit provided on a first electrical path connecting a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the rechargeable battery and configured to cause the rechargeable battery to output a predefined AC signal or to input a predefined AC signal to the rechargeable battery, a voltage measurement unit provided on a second electrical path connecting the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the rechargeable battery and configured to receive, via the second electrical path, voltage variations of the rechargeable battery in response to the AC signal, a calculation unit configured to calculate information on a complex impedance based on the voltage variations, and a determination unit configured to determine an abnormality and a precursory sign of an abnormality in the second electrical path based on the information on the complex impedance.

The arithmetic section calculates the information regarding the complex impedance after waiting for the measurement result of the alternating-current signal to reach a steady state after start of the input/output of the alternating-current signal by the signal control section and outputs a calculation result.

    Abstract: A battery control unit is adapted for a power supply system provided with a storage battery series-connected battery cells, a filter circuit, a discharge circuit, and a connection member connecting between the battery cell and the filter circuit.The battery control unit includes a voltage detection unit detecting voltage at the battery cell where noise is eliminated by the filter circuit, the voltage being detected immediately before/after a discharging is performed through the discharge circuit; a correction value calculation unit that calculates an amount of a voltage drop at the connection member when a discharging is performed through the discharge circuit, to be a correction value; and a voltage calculation unit that calculates voltage of the battery cell by adding the correction value calculated by the correction value calculation unit to a post-discharge voltage detected immediately after the discharging by the voltage detection unit.

    Abstract: In a battery measurement apparatus, a storage battery is caused to supply an alternating-current signal or receive an alternating-current signal to the storage battery. The alternating-current signal flowing through a first electrical path via a second electrical path is measured. In response to the alternating-current signal, a response signal of the storage battery received. Information related to a complex impedance of the storage battery is calculated based on the alternating-current signal and the response signal. A magnetic flux passage area is defined as an area surrounded by the second electrical path and through which a magnetic flux based on the alternating-current signal flowing through the first electrical path passes. A size of the magnetic flux passage area is set such that an error in the complex impedance due to induced electromotive force based on the alternating-current signal flowing through the first electrical path is within a range of ±1 mΩ.

    Abstract: In a battery monitoring device, a plurality of short-circuit switches are correspondingly provided for a plurality of battery cells of an assembled battery through detection lines. The battery cells includes a first battery cell and a second battery cell adjacent to each other. The short-circuit switches includes a first switch and a second switch, respectively, corresponding to the first battery cell and the second battery cell. An abnormality determination circuit executes an on and off control to turn the second switch from an off state to an on state, and then to the off state again while keeping the first switch in an off state. The abnormality determination circuit determines an abnormality of a detection line based on detection voltages of the first battery cell and detection voltages of the second battery cell before and after execution of the on and off control.
