Abstract: An air flow rate measurement device includes a casing, a flow rate measurement portion, a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The casing is disposed in a main flow passage in which an air flows, and the casing defines a bypass passage therein to take in a part of the air flowing in the main flow passage. The flow rate measurement portion is housed in the casing and measures a flow rate of the air flowing in the bypass passage. The first protrusion protrudes from a side surface of the casing in the main flow passage. The second protrusion protrudes from the side surface of the casing in the main flow passage. The second protrusion is spaced from the first protrusion in a flow direction of the air in the main flow passage. The air flow rate measurement device is capable of limiting a generation of a separated vortex.

Abstract: A physical quantity sensing device is installed to a circuit board and is configured to output a signal, which corresponds to a physical quantity of air flowing through a physical quantity measurement passage. A physical quantity measurement passage inlet, which is communicated with the physical quantity measurement passage, includes a first inner surface and a second inner surface. A second distance, which is measured from the physical quantity sensing device to the second inner surface in a plate thickness direction of the circuit board, is larger than a first distance, which is measured from the circuit board to the first inner surface in the plate thickness direction of the circuit board.

Abstract: A case is equipped to an intake passage where a mainstream of air flows toward an engine. The case has a bypass passage which draws a part of the mainstream. A sensor is equipped to the bypass passage. The case has an external wall as a side wall extending along the mainstream direction in which the mainstream flows. The bypass passage has an outlet port formed in the side wall as an opening which opens in a direction substantially perpendicular to the mainstream direction. The airflow measuring device further includes a throttle located on the upstream side in the mainstream direction than a center of the opening to throttle a stream of air which flows outside the case along the side wall. The throttle throttles the stream of air to flow toward a downstream side and to merge with air flowing out from the opening.

Abstract: A flow rate detector includes: a housing; and a substrate assembly disposed in the housing. The substrate assembly has a flow rate detection element, a temperature detection element, and a circuit board on which the flow rate detection element and the temperature detection element are mounted. The circuit board includes a body portion fixed to the housing, and a protrusion extended to protrude from the body portion. The protrusion has an element fix portion to which the temperature detection element is fixed. The protrusion has a supported portion within a supported range including a position of the element fix portion. The supported range is defined from the element fix portion to a tip end of the protrusion along an extension direction of the protrusion. The supported portion is supported by the housing to suppress a displacement of the element fix portion in a thickness direction of the circuit board.

Abstract: A flow rate measuring device includes a housing having a cross-section perpendicular to a Y-direction and taken at a position of an outlet of the housing. The cross-section includes a widest portion having a maximum width along a Z-direction. The cross-section has a width gradually decreasing from the widest portion toward an upstream side end and has a width gradually decreasing from the widest portion toward a downstream side end. A width of the housing at a middle position of the housing in an upstream area is defined as a width W1. A width at a middle position in a downstream area is defined as a width W2. A length of the housing in the upstream area is defined as a length L1. A length in the downstream area is defined as a length L2. W1>W2 and W1/L1>W2/L2.

Abstract: A flow rate meter has (i) a housing therein defines a bypass path in which a part of the main flow flows, and (ii) a flow rate sensor that is arranged in the bypass path. The housing has a sidewall arranged to extend along a main flow direction. The bypass path has, as an outlet, a through-hole that is defined in the sidewall. The flow rate meter further has a plate member that is arranged to face the sidewall and defines a space into which a part of the main flow flowing outside of the housing flows. The plate member is arranged parallel with the sidewall and intersects with a center line that is perpendicular to the main flow direction and passes through a center of the through-hole.
