Abstract: When a power element expands in a direction of a uniaxial center, a diaphragm is pressed, in the direction of the uniaxial center, against a pressing portion of a lid member fixed to a body unit. A holder member of the power element is displaced away from the pressing portion as the diaphragm further expands outward in the direction of the uniaxial center. Displacement of the holder member in the direction of the uniaxial center is transmitted to a spherical valve, thereby increasing or decreasing an opening degree of the spherical valve. Accordingly, it is not necessary to dispose a member which may cause complicated processing work for an expansion valve between the holder member and the spherical valve, e.g., a member which needs complicated welding processing work.

Abstract: A valve piece urging member urges a valve piece toward a valve closing side, at which an opening degree of a restriction passage is reduced by the valve piece. An actuation member exerts a drive force against the valve piece in a direction of moving the valve piece toward a valve opening side, at which the opening degree of the restriction passage is increased by the valve piece. A vibration limiting member limits vibration of the valve piece in a direction, which intersects with the axial direction, by generating an urging force for urging the valve main body at a location between the valve main body and the valve piece. When the valve piece is moved beyond a predetermined displacement position toward the valve opening side, the valve piece releases the urging force of the vibration limiting member.

Abstract: A power element has a closed space provided between a first diaphragm and a second diaphragm. An interposing member is interposed between the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm. Accordingly, a size of the closed space can be optionally determined in accordance with a shape such as a thickness of the interposing member. Therefore, limitations on the size of the closed space due to a shape of the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm can be reduced. Accordingly, limitations on the size of a fluid enclosing space due to a shape of a diagram can be reduced.
