Abstract: An air conditioning unit for a vehicle has a casing, a heating heat exchanger, a first partition plate, a first opening, a second partition plate, a second opening, and a switching door. The casing has a face opening and a foot opening. The heating heat exchanger is arranged in the casing. The first partition plate partitions a downstream side of the heating heat exchanger in an airflow direction into a first passage and a second passage located below the first passage. The first opening is formed on a downstream side of the first partition plate in an airflow direction and communicates between the first passage and the second passage. The second partition plate is arranged on the downstream side of the heating heat exchanger and is formed with a third passage between the first partition plate and the second partition plate in the first passage. The second opening that is located on a downstream side of the second partition plate in an airflow direction and communicates between an upper side and a lower side of the second partition plate. The switching door opens or closes the first and second openings. The air in the third passage is guided toward the foot opening by the second partition plate and the switching door in an air conditioning mode in which the switching door opens the first opening and closes the second opening.

Abstract: In an interior air conditioning unit, a divided case is provided with a main water receiver, a main drain port, a side wall, a secondary drain port, a partition wall, a notch, a droplet reservoir, a path, and a tilted portion. The side wall, the secondary drain port, the notch, the droplet reservoir, the path, and the tilted portion are respectively located such that a condensate water flows out of the main water receiver and reaches the secondary drain port through the notch before a water surface of the condensate water reaches a fitting portion between the divided cases. According to the above-described configuration, the condensate water produced in the cooling heat exchanger can be certainly prevented from leaking through the fitting portion of the air conditioning case.

Abstract: A water discharge device that collects and drains condensed water generated in an air conditioning device includes: a drainage path along which condensed water is able to be drained in a draining state in which condensed water is expelled; and an opening and closing member that is able to block and open the drainage path. The opening and closing member blocks the drainage path so as to limit movement of air due to dynamic pressure when in a non-draining state other than the draining state.
