    Abstract: In a rotary electric machine, a rotor, and a stator. The stator includes slots provided in a circumferential direction thereof, and stator windings wound in the slots. The stator windings include n groups of three-phase windings, where n is a power of 2. The slots include first slots each accommodating portions of same-group and same-phase windings in the n groups of three-phase windings. The energizing directions of the same-group and same-phase windings are identical to each other. The second slots each accommodate different-group and same-phase windings in the n groups of three-phase windings. The first slots and the second slots are arranged in the stator at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the stator, and the three-phase windings of each group are wound around the stator with regular intervals therebetween.

    Abstract: In an insulation resistance detection apparatus, a voltage determiner determines whether a detection voltage, which has changed by at least a preset value, becomes stable at around a changed voltage value. A resistance determiner determines a value of an insulation resistance between a ground portion and a power-supply path based on a currently sampled value of the detection voltage instead of a moving average in response to determination that the detection voltage, which has changed by at least the preset value, becomes stable at around the changed voltage value.

    Abstract: An electrical leakage determination device includes: a capacitor connected to a battery; a detection resistor connected to the capacitor; a detection unit detecting a voltage value at a connection point between the detection resistor and the capacitor; a low amplitude voltage application unit applying a low amplitude voltage to the detection resistor every driving cycle; a high amplitude voltage application unit applying, before the application of the low amplitude voltage to the detection resistor, a high amplitude voltage to the detection resistor. The device determines whether there is electrical leakage between the power supply circuit and the ground based on a peak value of the voltage value detected when the low amplitude voltage is being applied, and changes a time integral value of the high amplitude voltage applied to the detection resistor based on a change in the voltage value detected when the low amplitude voltage is being applied.

    Abstract: An insulation resistance detection device detects a voltage at a connection point between a coupling capacitor and a resistance in the case where a frequency signal is outputted to the resistance, and detects an insulation resistance between a ground portion and a power supply path based on a moving average value of a detection voltage. The insulation resistance detection device includes a first determination unit, a resistance detection unit, and a second determination unit. In response to a determination that the pulsation of the detection voltage is attenuated, the resistance detection unit detects the insulation resistance based on, instead of a first moving average value, a second moving average value calculated by using the detection voltage in a second range including a smaller number of detection voltages than in the first range.

    Abstract: An electrical leakage determination system that determines if an electrical leakage occurs includes a capacitor having first and second ends connected to a cathode side power supply path and a grounding section and a switch disposed in an electrical path formed parallel to the capacitor. When the capacitor discharges and a predetermined period has elapsed after the controller sets an energized state between the cathode-side power supply path and the grounding section by bringing the switch to an energizing position, the controller allows the capacitor to charge by setting an energization shut down state between the cathode-side power supply path and the grounding section by bringing the switch to an energization shut down position. The controller subsequently detects a voltage value of the capacitor and determines if the electrical leakage is either present or absent based on the voltage value.

    Abstract: A correction circuit stores data for obtaining coefficients of a relational expression indicating a relationship between a disturbance magnetic flux and a rotational angle error. Then, the coefficients are obtained from the data for obtaining the coefficients, and a detection result of a magnetic sensor is corrected based on the coefficients obtained, a relational expression, and a detection result of a disturbance magnetic flux detection circuit. Since it is possible to obtain the rotational angle error with respect to the disturbance magnetic flux from the coefficient obtained and the relational expression, it is not necessary to store the data indicating the relationship between the disturbance magnetic flux and the rotational angle error for all of the disturbance magnetic flux value in disturbance magnetic flux regions that may be applied.

    Abstract: An electrical leakage determination system determines if an electrical leakage occurs between each of power supply paths and a grounding section. The electrical leakage determination system includes a coupling capacitor with one end connected to an anode-side power supply path, a resistor connected to the other end of the coupling capacitor, and an oscillator connected to the resistor to output an AC voltage to the resistor. A determiner detects a voltage at a connection point located between the coupling capacitor and the resistor when the oscillator outputs an AC voltage to the resistor. The determiner determines if the electrical leakage occurs based on the detected voltage. The oscillator increases an absolute value of an AC voltage output during a preparation period provided prior to a detection timing when a voltage is detected at a connection point greater than an absolute value of an AC voltage output at the detection timing.

    Abstract: A rotation angle detection apparatus includes a magnet that is provided to a rotating shaft of a rotating body and rotates with the rotating shaft to generate magnetic flux and a magnetic sensor that is provided at a distance from the magnet and detects a magnetic flux interlinked with the magnetic sensor. The rotation angle detection apparatus has a magnet magnetic flux detection circuit that detects a magnet magnetic flux generated from the magnet, a disturbance magnetic flux detection circuit that detects a disturbance magnetic flux, which is a magnetic flux other than the magnet magnetic flux and is interlinked with the magnetic sensor, and a correction circuit that corrects a result of detection of the magnetic sensor based on a result of detection of the magnet magnetic flux detection circuit and a result of detection of the disturbance magnetic flux detection circuit.

    Abstract: An electric rotating machine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor has a plurality of pairs of magnetic poles. The stator includes a stator core and a stator coil that is comprised of a plurality of phase windings wound on the stator core. The stator core has, for each of the phase windings of the stator coil, n circumferentially-consecutive single-phase slots, in which only the phase winding is received, per magnetic pole of the rotor, where n is a natural number not less than 2. Each of the phase windings of the stator coil has first to kth sections that are sequentially arranged from one end to the other end of the phase winding, where k is a natural number not less than 2. The first section is received in different ones of the single-phase slots for the phase winding from the kth section.
