Abstract: A stator includes a stator core, stator windings provided in the stator core, and a busbar connected to coil end portions of the stator windings. The busbar is composed of a flat conductor body and has a main body portion extended in a circumferential direction in parallel to a circumference of the stator core and multiple protruding portions extended radially from the main body portion. The protruding portions and the coil end portions are joined by laser welding. A thickness of each of the protruding portions in a laser beam emitting direction in which a welded portion is irradiated with a laser beam during the laser welding is greater than a plate thickness of the main body portion in the same direction.

Abstract: A rotating electric machine includes a rotor, a stator, a temperature detecting element, and a cooling apparatus. The stator includes a stator core that is disposed so as to oppose the rotor in a radial direction of the rotating electric machine, and a stator winding that is wound around the stator core. The temperature detecting element is set in the stator winding. The cooling apparatus drips a liquid coolant onto coil end portions of the stator winding, thereby performing cooling. The stator winding has a plurality of input and output lines that are electrically connected to an external apparatus. At least one input or output line among the plurality of input and output lines is disposed vertically above the temperature detecting element.

Abstract: A stator includes an annular stator core and a multi-phase stator coil. The stator core has slots arranged in a circumferential direction thereof. The stator coil is comprised of phase windings that are mounted on the stator core so as to be received in the slots of the stator core. The stator coil has an annular coil end part protruding axially outward from an axial end face of the stator core. The stator coil includes, at least, two lead wires and a joint. Each of the lead wires is connected with one of the phase windings of the stator coil and led out from a radially inner periphery of the coil end part. At the joint, distal ends of the lead wires are joined to each other. Adjoining portions of the lead wires, which adjoin each other, are arranged radially inside a radially-inner peripheral surface of the coil end part.

Abstract: A stator for a rotating electric machine includes an annular stator core and a stator coil. The stator core has a plurality of slots arranged in a circumferential direction thereof. The stator coil is formed of a plurality of electric conductor segments mounted on the stator core. Each of the electric conductor segments has a pair of in-slot portions and a turn portion. Each of the pair of in-slot portions is inserted in a corresponding one of the slots of the stator core. The turn portion is located on one axial side of the stator core and connects the pair of in-slot portions. Moreover, for each of the electric conductor segments, at least one of the pair of in-slot portions of the electric conductor segment includes a protruding part that protrudes in the circumferential direction of the stator core.
