Abstract: Systems, devices, and automated processes are described to provide detection of incorrectly connected equipment at one or more cell sites, such as those used to implement a 5G or other mobile network. Systems and automated processes may retrieve a serial number and MAC address from one or more RUs at a cell site, may retrieve interface information from a cell site router to which the one or more RUs are coupled, and may retrieve information identifying assigned cell sector and spectrum band for the one or more RUs from a management system of the network. The systems and automated processes may map the RUs to ports of the CSR, may determine which RU is actually connected to each port, and may compare this to the RU that is expected to be connected to each port based on a predetermined configuration for the cell site. Reports may also be generated accordingly.

Abstract: A system for updating configuration of cellular telecommunication network components is vendor agnostic (i.e., supports multiple file formats and data modeling languages that may be used by various different OpenRan vendors). The system may include a single central unifying tool that removes dependence on different OpenRan vendor toolsets, enables the mobile network operator (MNO) to customize views and to add custom mapping and features, enables multiple file loading and provides a viewing tree structure for network components and parameters in a GUI. The system enables an MNO optimization engineer to make single or bulk parameter changes for multiple different network components, provides export and import options for electronic spreadsheet interaction, creates updated XML files and a listing of changes of network component parameters for tracking purposes, and provides parsing algorithms to support future software updates that introduce new network objects and features.
