    Abstract: An air filter element includes a filter arrangement, an elbow, and a filter element seal member. The filter arrangement includes a filter media pack having a dirty air inlet and a clean air outlet, wherein air flowing through the clean air outlet flows in a first axial direction and the clean air outlet defines a filter arrangement cross sectional area. The elbow has a first end constructed to extend from the filter arrangement clean air outlet, a second end wherein air flowing through the second end flows in a second axial direction, and an air flow enclosure extending from the elbow first end to the elbow second end. The air flow enclosure includes an air deflector constructed to direct air from the first axial direction to the second axial direction, wherein the second axial direction is different from the first axial direction, and an interior volume between the elbow first end and the elbow second end. The filter element seal member is located on the elbow second end, wherein the filter element seal member is constructed to seal to a clean air intake, the filter element seal member located on the elbow second end defining a seal member cross sectional area. The filter element can be characterized as having a ratio of the seal member cross sectional area to the filter arrangement cross sectional area of at least 0.5. The filter element can have a z-filter media pack for a pleated media pack. The air filter element can be arranged in an air cleaner.

    Abstract: Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.

    Abstract: A filter cartridge includes a media pack having first and second opposite flow faces; the media pack comprising flutes extending in a direction between the inlet flow face and the outlet flow face; a frame mounted on the second flow face of the media pack; a seal support section extending from the base member; and first and second opposite and spaced blades extending from the base member and in a different direction from the base member as the seal support section. The first and second blades are embedded within the media pack through the second flow face. A seal member is oriented against the seal support section. The filter cartridge can be removably oriented in a cassette. The cassette and filter cartridge are removably oriented in an air cleaner housing. The cassette may include lugs to help position the cartridge in sealing engagement with the air cleaner housing. In another embodiment, the filter cartridge is cassette-free and includes a cartridge-handle projecting therefrom.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to filter restriction indicator (100) for a filtration system. In an embodiment, a filter restriction indicator (100) can have an electronics control cartridge (800) including an internal spacer frame (304), a first circuit board (346), a second circuit board (302) disposed over the first circuit board (346), and a pressure sensor (336) in electrical communication with the first circuit board (346). A filter fluid tube (318) defines a filter fluid channel (348) in fluid communication with the pressure sensor (336). The internal spacer frame (304) can secure the first circuit board (346) at a fixed distance from the second circuit board (302). A lower housing (108) defines an ambient pressure port (310). A cap (102) defines an interior volume (332) into which the electronics control cartridge fits (800). The cap (102) can define a shielding panel (112) configured to fit over an exterior portion of the ambient pressure port (336) when the cap (102) is engaged with the lower housing (108).
