Abstract: Aqueous emulsions of fluid organopolysiloxanes containing at least 25 mol percent of higher alkyl substituents, such as a 50/50 copolymer of C8H17SiO3/2 and (CH3)2SiO units, are used as lubricants in metal working processes, such as cutting aluminum.
