Silicone oil-in-water emulsions containing a polysiloxane containing polymer is prepared by first preparing a polysiloxane containing polymer by the polymerization of siloxane containing monomers and/or oligomers in the presence of an inert organopoly siloxane and/or an organic fluid, a suitable catalyst and optionally an end-blocking agent; and quenching the reaction if required. If required one or more surfactants may be introduced into the polysiloxane containing polymer to form a homogenous oil phase. Water is then added (in an amount of 0.1-10 percent by weight based on total oil phase weight) to the homogenous oil phase to form a water-in-oil emulsion. Shear is applied to the water-in-oil emulsion to cause inversion of the water-in-oil emulsion to an oil-in-water emulsion. Finally, if required the oil-in-water emulsion can be diluted by adding more water.

New compositions of matter that provide lubricant properties when cured into a coating on a substrate. The compositions are low molecular weight structured polysilicate compositions that have high silanol contents. The polysilicates are combined with a condensation catalyst and allowed to cure on the appropriate substrate. The cured coating has lubricant properties.

The pharmaceutical packaging composition may be, for example, a pre-filled syringe comprising a body (barrel) and a plunger assembly.

This relates to the coating of air bags, which are used for safety purposes to protect occupants of vehicles such as automobiles, and of air bag fabrics intended to be made into air bags. In particular the invention relates to the top coating of air bags and air bag fabrics which have been pre-coated with a cured organic resin coating composition. The top-coat is an anti-blocking coating composition comprising at least one solid lubricant dispersed in an organic polymer binder. A process for applying the top-coat is also described.

Hydraulic oil compositions for shock absorbers comprises a lubricating base oil and at least one type of silicone oil selected from the group consisting of silicone oils with a kinematic viscosity at 25° C. of 10,000 to 350,000 mm2/s and fluorine-modified silicone oils with a kinematic viscosity at 25° C. of less than 10,000 mm2/s. The compositions may further comprise a viscosity index improver. The compositions can enhance the damping force and initial damping properties of a shock absorber and thus improve the ride comfort of an automobile equipped with such a shock absorber.

An endoscope which has small bending resistance and is hard to be damaged or broken even when it is repeatedly used is disclosed. The endoscope includes a flexible insertion section 2 and an operation section 7 provided on the proximal end of the insertion section 2. The insertion section 2 has a sheath constructed from an outer layer 382 and the like, and elongated members such as an image guide 31 and light guides 32, 32 and the like are housed in lumens in the sheath. Further, each light guide 32 has an optical fiber bundle and a protective sheath 321 for protecting the optical fiber bundle. In the interior space of the protective sheath 321, a lubricant 5 containing a silicone oil and a solid lubricant is provided. The solid lubricant contains at least one of boron nitride, poly tetrafluoroethylene, and molybdenum disulfide. The solid lubricant is preferably formed into powder having an average grain size of 0.1 to 15 μm. By providing the lubricant 5 in the interior space of the lumen, bending resistance of the insertion section is reduced so that damage, breakage, or the like is hard to occur in the elongated members.
