Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel use of proline containing dipeptides for upregulating genes involved in collagen fiber maturation and thus for revitalizing, strengthen-5 ing and increasing the integrity of collagen fibers. These proline containing dipeptides are furthermore particular suitable for improving the skin firmness, texture and elasticity as well as reducing the pore size and increasing skin moisturization.
