摘要： A voice packet communication apparatus and method in a wireless communication system are provided. The communication method includes extracting, at a base station, RTP data from an IP packet received from a corresponding terminal in voice packet communication, generating the RTP data as a MAC PDU, and sending the generated MAC PDU to a wireless terminal; and extracting, at the wireless terminal, the RTP data from the MAC PDU received from the base station and reproducing the RTP data through a voice codec. Since the amount of data to be transmitted and received in the radio section is reduced, the present invention can enhance the bandwidth efficiency.

摘要： A handover method in a wireless communication system is provided, in which upon receipt of a handover request message requesting a handover from a mobile station, a serving base station transmits a handover notify message to a target base station indicated by the handover request message, receives a handover notify ACK message from the target base station, determines from the handover notify ACK message whether the target base station has accepted the handover of the mobile station, generates a handover response message indicating whether the handover of the mobile station has been accepted, transmits the handover response message to the mobile station, and terminates communications with the mobile station, upon receipt of a handover complete message from the target base station.

摘要： A point-to-point emulation apparatus and method in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. In a communication method in an RAS in a broadband wireless communication system, an ID of a source terminal and an ID of a destination terminal are registered in a database by mapping the ID of the source terminal to the ID of the destination terminal, for communications between terminals registered to the RAS. Upon receipt of traffic data from the source terminal, a header of the traffic data is converted using the database, for transmission to the destination terminal on a downlink.

摘要： A method of creating a global coordinate of a polyhedral hollow frame includes a first step of providing a plurality of transmitters on a reference surface in the hollow frame, providing a plurality of reference sensors to create the coordinate of the reference surface, and creating a local coordinate frame of the reference surface on the basis of the positional coordinates measured by the reference sensors; a second step of providing reference sensors at common points of a first vertical surface neighboring to the reference surface to measure and store the coordinates of the common points; a third step of providing a plurality of transmitters and reference sensors on the first vertical surface neighboring to the reference surface to create a local coordinate frame of the first vertical surface; a fourth step of transforming the local coordinate frames created at the first and the third steps into a global coordinate frame using the coordinates of the common points measured at the second step; a fifth step of repeatedly performing the second step to the fourth step on remaining vertical surfaces of the polyhedral hollow frame to transform the respective local coordinate frames into a unified global coordinate frame; a sixth step of providing transmitters on an upper surface neighboring to each vertical surface to obtain the relationship between the global coordinate frame and a local coordinate frame of the upper surface using the coordinates of the common point; and a seventh step of creating and applying a global coordinate frame using the relationship obtained at the sixth step.

摘要： An uplink packet data transmission system and method are provided which can reduce a collision probability in a contention period by assigning a priority to mobile stations when bandwidth allocation is rejected due to lack of resources of a base station from which a best effort service is provided. In a method for transmitting best effort data in a communication system, the base station allocates resources to mobile stations for which a reservation has been made in a previous time period when bandwidth for the mobile stations requesting bandwidth allocation is insufficient, reserves bandwidth for mobile stations for which the bandwidth allocation has been rejected, and transmits reservation information. The mobile stations receive the reservation information, skip a next scheduled bandwidth allocation request, and transmit data through bandwidth allocated from the base station.
