    摘要: The present invention relates to a fluorescent lamp including a visible radiation and/or UV-radiation transmissive discharge vessel, at least one luminescent layer coated onto the inner wall of the discharge vessel for converting UV-radiation to other wavelengths of UV-A, UV-B and/or visible radiation characterized in, that at a section to which no luminescent layer is applied on the inner surface area of said discharge vessel at least one substrate layer is applied on the outer surface of this area of said discharge vessel, and/or at least a section to which luminescent layer is applied on the inner surface area of said discharge vessel at least one substrate layer is applied on the outer surface of this area of said discharge vessel; whereby said substrate layer comprises at least one volatile organic material being releasable over an extended time period, whereby the volatile organic material is released by UV-radiation and/or thermal heat generated from said fluorescent lamp and, whereby at operation the temperature of the outer surface of the discharge vessel of said fluorescent lamp is ≦70° C.

    摘要: An identification system for a light radiation source (103) having a control circuit (107) for communicating with an identification circuit (108) associated with the light radiation source, wherein the identification circuit is arranged for storing data relating to the light radiation source. During operation, the control circuit communicates with the identification circuit via a signal path comprising at least a portion of a first electric wire (112) provided for energizing the light radiation source such that it is used as a first transmitting antenna for communicating with the identification circuit. The operation of the light radiation source is controlled in dependence on the data retrieved from the identification circuit. Depending on the result of the identification, operation of the light radiation source can be authorized or prevented, thus blocking the use of an incorrect radiation source for a given application.

    摘要: The present invention relates to glow-switch starters 1, lighting devices therewith and use thereof. The glow-switch starter 1 is suitable for use with three phase supply voltages substantially higher than the common 230V supply voltage 26. This allows more efficient gas discharges in e.g. fluorescent lamps 20, and/or more lamp power, and/or less energy losses in ballasts 22 and lamp electrodes. To make the glow-switch starter suited for such use, according to the invention, the gas filling 5 of the starter 1 is adapted. An important criterion is that the glow current in the steady state operation of the fluorescent lamp that is started by the starter is small enough to prevent closing of the (bimetallic) switch.
