    摘要： A document handling device overturns a document having a first side, a second side lying opposite the first side, a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a relatively long lengthwise dimension between the leading and trailing edges. The device comprises a housing unit including a reference surface defining at least in part an opening through which the document is fed into a document path defined within the housing unit. A transport unit receives the document which has been fed through the opening with the first side of the document facing the reference surface of the housing unit. The transport unit overturns the received document and feeds the overturned document back through the opening with the second side of the document facing the reference surface of the housing unit. The units define an accumulating space into which the document can bulge while the document is being overturned.

    摘要： A system for setting up video conferencing calls. Setting up such calls imposes a delay of about 45 seconds. Under the invention, an audio call is established immediately, and is held during the delay. During the audio call, static pictures of the conference participants are displayed to the participants. After set-up becomes complete, an audio-video conference is held, using live audio and video.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for controlling the routing of operating cables from a computer or terminal. The apparatus includes a terminal and a cable block. The terminal has a mounting wall and a receiver for detachably securing the cable block thereto. The cable block has a U-shaped housing having an open side which faces the mounting wall and it also has internal dividers to provide open compartments to receive the cables. The U-shaped housing has resilient tangs thereon which cooperate with corresponding tangs on the terminal to detachably secure the cable block to the housing with the cables being routed between the compartments and the mounting wall.

    摘要： A cable clip apparatus for routing connection cables out of a table top terminal, like a bank data entry machine, for example. The apparatus includes a coupling member which is located inside a cabinet of the terminal. Mating coupling members are coupled to the coupled member by inserting the mating coupling members in a vertical direction into the coupling member. Cables associated with the mating coupling members pass through slots in a perimeter portion of the cabinet, and thereafter, a cover which is part of the cabinet is closed to retain the cables in the side portion of the terminal. The coupling member is mounted above a circuit board within the terminal.

Each character spans a distance of m module widths and is represented by n bars and p interleaved spaces. The largest single bar or space is limited to k modules in width. A human recognizable graphic element is included among the patterns of bars and spaces. At least a portion of the graphic element is machine readable and recognizable by a decoder as a portion of the symbol.
