摘要： A power tool having a paddle switch is configured to allow easier actuation of a switch mechanism. The power tool comprises a housing, a support surface disposed within the housing, a switch mechanism having a first position and a second position, a paddle member including an input surface and a hinge pin positioned a distance from the support surface, and a multiplier member pivotally connected to the hinge pin and having a first arm and a second arm. The first arm of the multiplier member extends from the hinge pin along a first longitudinal axis, and the second arm of the multiplier member extends from the hinge pin along a second longitudinal axis that is not parallel to the first longitudinal axis. The second arm is disposed to contact the support surface when force is applied to the input surface, causing rotation of the multiplier member about the hinge pin. The rotation of the hinge pin causes the first arm to contact the switch mechanism and move it from the first position to the second position.

摘要： A power tool having a paddle switch is configured to allow easier actuation of a switch mechanism. 摘要： A reciprocating saw blade for use with a reciprocating saw, the saw blade including a body including a first substantially planar surface and a second substantially planar surface opposite the first surface, an attachment portion for coupling the saw blade to the reciprocating saw, a cutting edge including a plurality of cutting teeth, and a rib element including a pair of outermost rib members. One of the outermost rib members is proximate the cutting edge and the other of the outermost rib members is proximate a back edge of the blade opposite the cutting edge. Each outermost rib member includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portions of each of the ribs are substantially parallel to one another.

The reciprocating tool includes a blade clamp mechanism actuator coupled to the housing for movement with respect the housing between first and second positions. The spindle reciprocates with respect to the blade clamp mechanism actuator. A blade clamp mechanism is coupled to the spindle for reciprocating movement therewith, and the blade clamp mechanism is configured to attach the saw blade to the spindle. The blade clamp mechanism includes a collar mounted on the end of the spindle, and the collar is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the spindle between an engaged position and a disengaged position in response to movement of the blade clamp mechanism actuator between the first position and the second position.

A spindle is mounted for reciprocation relative to the housing, the spindle having a front end for supporting a saw blade and being movable through a cutting stroke and a return stroke, and the cutting stroke may have a stroke length. A rotary member may be supported for rotation about a rotary axis. The saw may further include an adjusting assembly operable to adjust the stroke length of the spindle. Also, the saw may include a counterweight supported for movement relative to the housing, a movement of the counterweight substantially balancing at least a portion of movement of the spindle, and an adjusting assembly operable to adjust the movement of the counterweight.
