摘要: A combination lighting tester tool. The combination lighting tester tool includes at least three independent testing tools for identifying and diagnosing a problem in a lighting system. For example, the tester includes a lamp testing function in which a high voltage test signal is generated and transmitted using an antenna. When the test signal is in proximity to a gas filled lamp, the voltage is of sufficient magnitude to ionize the gas inside the lamp, causing the lamp to illuminate. The tester also includes a ballast testing function in which the power lines or wires connecting a ballast to a lamp or lighting fixture are tested, and a filament tester for testing the filaments in a lamp for continuity or resistance. The tester also includes a worklight for illuminating an area under test and one or more display devices (e.g., LEDs, an LCD display, or the like) which provide an indication of, for example, a test being performed or a result of a test.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention relate to a wall scanner that includes a housing, a plurality of sensors, a display, and a control section. The housing includes a handle portion and a body portion. The handle portion is adapted to receive a removable and rechargeable battery pack such as a high-voltage lithium-ion (“Li-Ion”) battery pack. The body portion of the housing encloses the plurality of sensing devices, such as, for example, capacitive plate sensors for sensing the presence of a stud behind a surface, a D-coil sensor for identifying the presence of metal behind the surface, and a non-contact voltage sensor for detecting the presence of live wires carrying AC currents. The display is configured to display, among other things, the location of an object behind the surface in real-time, the depth of an object behind the surface, and whether an object behind the surface is ferrous or non-ferrous. The control section includes a plurality of actuation devices for controlling the functions and operations of the wall scanner, such as the scanning mode.

摘要: The invention relates to an infrared (“IR”) thermometer that includes a pistol-grip handle which is operable to receive a high-voltage removable and rechargeable battery pack. In one embodiment, the thermometer includes a main body, a handle portion, a trigger, a display, a control section, an LED flashlight, a plurality of sensors, and a high-voltage removable and rechargeable battery pack. The handle forms an oblique angle with respect to the main body and includes a first recess for receiving the battery pack. The trigger is operable to initiate a temperature measurement, and the display is operable to display, among other things, a measured temperature. The plurality of sensors include, for example, an IR temperature sensor, a thermocouple, a humidity sensor, and an ambient temperature sensor.

An output from the visual camera and an output from the thermal detector are combined by the controller or the plurality of additional modules to generate a combined image for display on the display.

摘要: The invention provides a non-contact voltage detector (“NCVD”) that includes a housing, a power switch, and an LED flashlight. The housing includes an upper portion and a lower portion which are slidably attachable to one another. A voltage sense circuit is positioned within the housing and illuminates a voltage sense indicator when it detects an AC voltage. The power switch is operable to activate the voltage sense circuit and the LED flashlight. The NCVD includes a first set of rails and a second set of rails for slidably attaching the NCVD to a test and measurement device, such as a digital multimeter (“DMM”) or an infrared (“IR”) temperature gun.
