摘要: The embodiments of present invention disclose an electronic handwriting screen and relate to the field of electrophoretic display techniques. In the embodiment of present invention, because insulation spacing elements are provided between the electrophonic display functional film and the bottom electrode, when an appropriate voltage is applied between the top electrode and the bottom electrode, the top electrode is pressed so as to make the electrophonic display functional film contact with the bottom electrode, which shortens the distance between the top electrode and the bottom electrode and further increases the electric field force acting on the charged colorant particles; as a result, electrophoresis effect occurs in the electrophoresis liquid so that patterns are displayed or erased at the pressing location, and handwriting function is thereby realized without a touch screen, reducing the manufacturing costs for an electronic handwriting screen.

摘要: An apparatus for spatially correcting an image frame is disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus stores a frame of pixel values and scans a multi-pixel correction window across the frame. Spatial correction is performed on pixels within the window at correction positions during the scan. The spatial correction comprises estimating pixel values at value estimation positions based on one or more pixel values within the window for pixels satisfying a logical condition. The value estimation positions correspond to pixel values which do not fall within the window again during the scan. Further disclosed is an apparatus for detecting high-energy radiation, in which integration circuitry is used for integrating charge responsive to radiation photon interaction events. The circuits are controllable in accordance with an exposure control signal to vary an exposure window duration according to an operating parameter of the apparatus.

摘要: This disclosure is directed to measuring test effects using adjusted outlier data. Test data and control data may include some outlier data (i.e., right-side tails of distribution curves), which may bias the resultant data. The outlier data may be adjusted to reduce bias. A cutoff point is selected along the distribution of data. Data below the cutoff is maintained and used to determine an effect of the data below the cutoff point. The effect of the data above the cutoff may be processed as follows. Predictor data is identified from the data below, but near, the cutoff point. The predictor data may then be used determine the effect of the outlier data that is above the cutoff point. In some embodiments, the predictor data may be weighted and combined with a weighted portion of the outlier data to determine an effect of the data above the cutoff point.

摘要: Advertising revenue may be optimized by selecting an advertisement to display to a user based at least in part on the user's browsing history and a revenue model associated with the advertisement. For example, if the user has a relatively high clicking frequency on advertisements, then pay-per-click advertisements may be selected for presentation to the user rather than pay-per-impression advertisements. Revenue model-based advertisement selection may be combined with other advertising techniques, such as targeting.

摘要: The present invention relates to a touching-type electronic paper and method for manufacturing the same. The touching-type electronic paper includes a TFT substrate and a transparent electrode substrate which are disposed as a cell. The transparent electrode substrate includes a common electrode, microcapsule electronic ink and light guiding poles as light transmitting passages, all of which are formed on a first substrate. The TFT substrate comprises displaying electrodes, first TFTs for driving the displaying electrodes, second TFTs for detecting lights transmitting through the light guiding poles and for producing level signals, and third TFTs for reading the level signals and sending the level signals to a back-end processing system, all of which are formed on a second substrate. The light guiding poles are opposite to the second TFTs respectively. The present invention makes the natural lights or other lights outside transmitted to the second TFTs through the light guiding poles by disposing the light guiding poles as light transmitting passages and disposing the second TFTs as light sensor units. The present invention has many advantages such as simple structure, simple manufacturing process and low cost, so as to have a wide application prospect.

摘要: Techniques are described for performing automated predictions of program execution capacity or other capacity of computing-related hardware resources that will be used to execute software programs in the future, such as for a group of computing nodes that execute one or more programs for a user. The predictions that are performed may in at least some situations be based on historical data regarding corresponding prior actual usage of execution-related capacity (e.g., for one or more prior years), and may include long-term predictions for particular future time periods that are multiple months or years into the future. In addition, the predictions of the execution-related capacity for particular future time periods may be used in various manners, including to manage execution-related capacity at or before those future time periods, such as to prepare sufficient execution-related capacity to be available at those future time periods.
