Abstract:
Horizontally engineered floor boards are provided by this invention. The floor board includes a top decorative layer placed on a plurality of strips. The plurality of strips are arranged to have some in X-axis orientation and some in Y-axis orientation. The plurality of strips also has characteristics that allow the wood floor board to be installed as a tile.
Abstract:
A hardwood floor system with press down locking mechanism. Each floor board is equipped with both male and female locking mechanisms. The male locking mechanism of a floor bard can be locked into the female locking mechanism of an adjacent floor board by simply exerting downward force on the floor board. The female locking mechanism is equipped with a spring slot that enables easy engagement of male and female locking mechanisms. The invention may be applied not only floor boards, but also to wall tiles and roof tiles.

Abstract:
A flexible floor board with a pad attached to the bottom side of the floor board. The pad covers partially the bottom side of the floor board and extends beyond the floor board. The bottom side of the pad is covered with a restickable glue layer and the floor board has a male lock on one end and a female lock on the other end. A floor board is engages to an adjacent floor board by pressing down the female lock of the first floor board onto the male lock of the second floor board. The bottom side of first floor board that is not covered by the pad is placed into contact with the pad of the second floor board that extends beyond the second floor board.
Abstract:
A locking system for floor boards comprises a plurality of floor boards and a plurality of locking devices. Each floor board has two tongues on one lateral side and another tongue and a locking groove on the opposite lateral side. The floor board also has two grooves on its bottom side. The locking device has three protruding gripping extensions. Few locking devices are placed on each floor board before the floor boards are sent to a job site. At the job site, two adjacent floor boards are assembled together by inserting the tongue of one board into a space defined by the locking device and the tongues of the adjacent board. The tongues are further secured in place by compression of flexible buffers located at each protruding gripping extension.
Abstract:
Glue based hardwood floor boards are provided by this invention. The floor board includes a protruding tongue on one end and a receding groove on the other end. A string of glue capsules is placed inside the receding groove. When the protruding tongue of an adjacent floor board is forced inside the receding groove of the first floor board, the glue capsules are broken and the glue leaks into the receding groove, thus bonding two floor boards.

Abstract:
A water resistant floor board comprises a top layer, a tongue connector, a groove connector, a body, and a bottom layer. The body is made from a man-made material and placed between the tongue connector and the groove connector, and the top layer is placed above the body, the tongue connector, and the groove connector. The bottom layer is a moisture resistant aluminum foil covering the body, the tongue connector, and the groove connector. The tongue and groove connectors are made from moisture resistant solid wood, and the body is made from man-made material. The top layer has a moisture resistant coating.
Abstract:
A rainwater collection and storage system includes at least one rainwater collector and a rainwater storage unit. The rainwater collector includes a bucket, a rainwater collector plate, and a decorative item. The decorative item camouflages the rainwater collector and makes it more pleasant to see. The rainwater collector also includes one or more filtering elements, filtering out leaves and debris and preventing intrusion of insects into the bucket. The rainwater collected is pumped to the rainwater storage unit. The rainwater storage unit has a support structure and a flexible rainwater container attached to the support structure. Because of the flexible rainwater container, the rainwater storage unit can be placed in a terrain that is not flat. The rainwater storage unit is also camouflaged to resemble a tree.
