Abstract: An intake nozzle fits onto the suction hose of a vacuum pumper truck. The nozzle comprises a tubular housing and the rotor within the housing near the intake end. The rotor includes a hollow cylindrical canister and spiral vanes on its exterior. Ambient air enters an air tube, penetrates the side of the housing and supplies ambient air to the interior of the canister. The air exits through outlet ports into the liquid waste as it moves past under vacuum. The injected air reduces the density of the liquid waste, speeding up the pumping process and reducing the incidence of blockages.

Abstract: A tool holder clamp fits over the suction hose or intake nozzle of a vacuum pumper truck. The clamp takes the form of two or more C-shaped sections that can bolt together over the hose, with each C-shaped section having one or more through bores serving as sockets for holding a tool such as a flashlight or the head or nozzle of a jet hose. Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a cement or plaster slurry, for example, for use in mines, in which bags of cement or plaster are fed into a substantially closed chamber, are ruptured, and water is fed into the chamber at a controlled rate. The resulting mixture is fed into a macerator which serves to comminute the bag material and to mix the cement or plaster which is then fed into a pump, preferably a positive displacement pump, such as a helical gear pump and is thus pumped on to the point of use.
